Practical writing is a practical style commonly used in daily handling of public and private affairs.Practical writing,especially letter writing,is often used in Chinese communication.Therefore,for foreigners who acquire Chinese as a second language,learning Chinese letter writing well is of great practical significance.Not only can it quickly understand the writing characteristics of Chinese people,but it also has great help for future daily life in China,such as interpersonal communication and job hunting.In addition,the "Chinese Proficiency Level Standards and Grammar Level Outline" points out that international students need to master the writing methods of practical writing during the learning process,including ordinary letters,job letters,and leave notes.So,we should attach importance to the teaching of Chinese letters.According to the author’s remote internship at the University of Walailak in Thailand,the phenomenon of errors in Thai students’ letter writing is very prominent and shows a certain regularity.Therefore,this article takes 93 valid language materials from letters written by students during their remote internship at Walailak University in Thailand as the research object,and comprehensively uses various research methods such as data statistics,case analysis,and interview to analyze the errors in letters written by Thai international students,summarize their reasons,and propose some practical and feasible teaching strategies for future teaching of Thai Chinese letter writing and even the entire Chinese writing teaching.This article mainly includes the following parts: Introduction mainly includes three parts:research reasons and significance,literature review,research objects and methods.It provides a detailed list and analysis of relevant literature materials on the research direction of this paper,and points out the research shortcomings in relevant aspects,and puts forward corresponding suggestions.The first chapter mainly starts with the 93 effective letter corpora written by Thai international students,and conducts a bias analysis of the six main structures of Chinese letters from three aspects: missing,misused,and positional.The second chapter analyzes the errors of Thai international students from the perspectives of tone expression,word usage,discourse structure,and grammar in the main body of the letter.The third chapter analyzes the misuse of punctuation mark by Thai students from four aspects: comma,full stop,exclamation mark and pause sign.In the fourth chapter analyzes the causes of errors in the first three chapters from three dimensions:student factors,teacher factors,and other factors.The fifth Chapter Corresponding countermeasures and suggestions have been proposed for teachers,students,and other aspects,mainly in response to the errors and reasons mentioned above.
