In modern Chinese,sentence-final particles play an important role in the completeness and accuracy of sentences, which is crucial for international students to express Chinese sentences completely and accurately. This study focuses on investigating the use of the high-frequency sentence-final particles "de" and "le" by Korean international students in modern Chinese, using the HSK dynamic composition corpus and adopting a quantitative analysis method to further summarize the types and causes of acquisition errors of "de" and "le" by Korean international students of different Chinese proficiency levels.Based on the research results and the teaching experience of Chinese teachers, this study attempts to provide reference suggestions for teaching sentence-final particles to Korean international students. This paper is mainly divided into four parts. The first part explains the rationale and significance of this study, reviews the related research on the acquisition of sentence-final particles "de" and "le" by Korean international students, and further expounds the research questions, methods, and steps of this paper. The second part compiles the error data of sentence-final particles "de" and "le" by Korean international students in Chinese based on the HSK dynamic composition corpus of Beijing Language and Culture University, and further summarizes the error types. On this basis, the chi-square test is used to explore the differences in error types of "de" and "le" among Korean international students of different proficiency levels.Through dependency syntax analysis, the collocation and sentence pattern distribution characteristics of "de" and "le" errors by Korean international students are examined. The third part analyzes the causes of errors in sentence-final particles "de" and "le" by Korean international students. The author analyzes and studies the error phenomena of "de" and "le" in detail and divides the error causes into two aspects: learner’s own factors and external factors. The fourth part provides suggestions for the learning and teaching of sentence-final particles "de" and "le" by Korean international students.Firstly, targeted suggestions are proposed for different types of errors, including "multi-word" type errors,"missing word" type errors, and "misuse" type errors.Secondly, suggestions for teaching sentence-final particles to Korean international students are provided from the perspectives of teachers, students, and teaching materials.Section Five: This study reveals a significant correlation between the proficiency level of Chinese among Korean native speakers and the production of errors in the usage of the two modal particles "de" and "le",primarily observed at the beginner to intermediate learning stages.Errors frequently occur within specific sentence patterns and formats, such as "shi……de" structures and "you" phrases.Potential causes of these errors include negative transfer from the mother tongue, overgeneralization of Chinese grammar, the influence of learning strategies, and the learners’ psychological state.Hence, educators should consider the students’ linguistic backgrounds and learning strategies, assisting them in mental adjustment and in choosing effective learning methods.Furthermore,we suggest that teaching materials should be tailored to the students’ characteristics and needs, providing targeted learning resources. These findings and suggestions contribute to improving the learning of Chinese among Korean students, especially in the use of modal particles.Lastly,we provide a teaching case based on these findings. |
