Research And Practice On The Characteristics Of Essay Film

The concept of Essay Film was first seen in the diary of film montage master Eisenstein in 1927.After World War II,it was widely discussed by European new wave masters,becoming a clear film type and influencing practice so far.Prose film,as its name implies,is similar to the film creation of prose.The word "prose" is similar to prose in the Chinese context,and can also be translated into essays,logs,sketches,etc.It refers to some text expressions that do not pay attention to form.When this word was introduced into the film,it quickly opened the thinking of people’s image creation,broke through the creation pattern of traditional dramas and documentaries,combined with the corresponding trend of the times,and formed the unique prose film practice of each era.Based on the development history of the practice and theory of the Western Essay Film,this paper will analyze the intertextuality and dialogue between the theory and practice of the prose film in the historical variation of the cultural field where prose and film are constantly combined and developed,and rely on the summary of the classical works of the prose film,such as The Witch,The History of Film,The Spirit of the Times,etc Analysis,roughly summarized some constant image characteristics of prose film in the historical perspective.And take these image characteristics as the guiding ideology and concept to guide my graduation work,and disassemble and discuss the image characteristics in the graduation work.
