Research On The Material Application Of Soft Sculpture Art

Soft sculpture is an art that gradually emerged abroad in the 20 th century,initially in1916 by Duchamp,the pioneer of Dada art,to display a soft typewriter cover and into the public eye,from the emergence of soft sculpture art has reached a more perfect in terms of content and form.As a part of the sculpture field,soft sculpture has become more and more popular among artists because of its unique characteristics compared to traditional hard sculpture.The greatest characteristic of soft sculpture in creation is the special nature of its materials.Traditional sculptures are mostly created by hard materials such as wood,stone,and metal,while soft sculptures are generally created with soft materials,which have a kind and warm quality of soft material language,intervening in the creation of sculptures to show new characteristics in production.Soft materials inject a delicate and soft blood into sculptures,giving them a sense of dialogue and dynamics,and this new art form has become a new direction for artists to study.As human society enters the era of technological development,the innovation of soft sculpture materials has played an important role in the development of sculpture art.This article focuses on the analysis of the application of materials in soft sculpture art.The first part is an introduction to the concept of soft sculpture as well as its historical development and artistic characteristics;the second part is an analysis of materials in soft sculpture,from the perspective of concept and classification,in which the characteristics of fiber materials,animal leather materials,paper materials,and cloth materials are introduced in detail with soft sculpture works;the third part is a detailed analysis and interpretation of the listed soft sculpture works The fourth part is the author’s graduation design work,in which the author combines a lot of data investigation and personal understanding to conduct an in-depth study of the art of soft sculpture and integrate it into his own creation,showing the artistic charm of soft sculpture and emphasizing the great potential of the development of soft sculpture in the field of sculpture.
