Liangyou Pictorial is the most influential video periodical during the Anti-Japanese War,and its photography literature has both historical and cultural value and artistic aesthetic value.During the Anti-Japanese War,Guangxi made outstanding contributions in military,economic and cultural fields.This paper takes the photography of Guangxi’s anti-Japanese war illustrated by Liangyou as the research object.This paper interprets the Photography of Liangyou Pictorial in Guangxi Anti-Japanese War from three aspects: timely photography,historical evidence and photography create beautiful.The timely photography discusses the relationship between the pictorial of Liangyou and the Anti-Japanese War era.In the 20 th century,Photography have gradually become an important form of media expression.The pictorial "Liang You" with photography as the main content came into being at the right time,and therefore gained a considerable circulation,which had a great influence at home and abroad.Although "Liangyou" pictorial has strong entertainment and fashion characteristics.But major military events at home and abroad have become the object of continuous concern of "Liangyou" pictorial.Companion pictorial was founded in1926 and ended in 1945.During this period,both the Northern Expedition War and War of Resistance against Japan received a large-scale video record of the pictorial of Good Friends.Especially in War of Resistance against Japan,The Companion Pictorial had a great influence not only because of the Anti-Japanese War,but also because of its suspension and relocation.The anti-Japanese war images of the Companion Pictorial really made outstanding achievements in inspiring people to resist the Japanese War.The history of video evidence discusses the historical and cultural connotation of Guangxi anti-Japanese war photography.Photography can be used as historical evidence,which has been the consensus of photography in the 20 th century.The anti-Japanese war photography in Guangxi illustrated by Liangyou are divided into four aspects: pre-war situation,military anti-Japanese war,economic anti-Japanese war and cultural anti-Japanese war.These photographs run through the whole historical process from the Shenyang Incident in 1931 to Japan’s surrender in 1945.Among them,there are both the strategizing of senior generals and the hard work of ordinary people;There is a bloody battle in the battlefield,and there is also a silent insistence on rear construction.With the help of Panovsky’s iconology research,the author tries to make an in-depth interpretation of Guangxi anti-Japanese war images from three levels: natural meaning,procedural meaning and essential meaning.The creation of beauty by photography discusses the artistic aesthetic connotation of Guangxi anti-Japanese war photography.Although the main purpose of Guangxi Anti-Japanese War image is to record the facts of Guangxi Anti-Japanese War,it emphasizes documentary photography,but it also hopes to obtain the artistic aesthetic effect of the photography through the creation of beauty,which has quite wonderful performance in material selection,composition,tone,scene,image and movement.In a word,the pictorial photography of Guangxi’s anti-Japanese war has not only the epochal significance of inspiring people’s fighting spirit and rallying national will,but also the historical value as image evidence.It also has the artistic function of expressing and creating beauty,which not only records the historical features of Guangxi’s anti-Japanese war,but also shows the spiritual grace of Guangxi’s military and civilians,forming a relatively complete photography history of Guangxi’s anti-Japanese war,adding a dimension of photography writing to the history of anti-Japanese war,which used to focus on writing.
