Study Of Baqiao Dialect Words And Folk Culture

Dialect is the carrier of culture and an important bridge of folk culture inheritance.Baqiao is located in Xi ’an city,Shaanxi Province.Baqiao dialect belongs to the East Prefecture of Guanzhong dialect of Central Plains.Compared with Xi’ an dialect,it has both commonness and individuality.Dialect words contain rich social life and folk customs,and folk customs always develop with the society.At present,there are many research results on Baqiao dialect,but most of the studies focus on the dialect ontology;its words and folk culture,lack of systematic and depth;they need comprehensive and in-depth investigation and research.Taking Baqiao dialect words as the research object,combining the methods of linguistics and folklore,investigating and sorting out the local representative dialect folk words,and explaining the folk culture connotation of the words.The paper mainly consists of four parts:The first part discusses the Baqiao dialect words and food folk culture,including the types of diet and food utensils,and compares the characteristic food dialect folk words in the area.The diet covers pasta,rice,porridge and dishes.Pasta food is mainly noodles and steamed buns,rice food and porridge food are mainly local specialty snacks,and dishes mainly introduce traditional famous products.The food utensils cover three aspects: cooking utensils,food container and food storage utensils,showing the wisdom,simplicity,contentment and harmony of the Baqiao people.The second part studies the Baqiao dialect words and life etiquette culture,which includes three aspects,namely birth etiquette culture,marriage etiquette culture and funeral etiquette culture,and compares the characteristic marriage folk words and funeral folk words in the area respectively.The birth culture starts from the three stages of qi,pregnancy and celebration,showing the traditional concepts of succession,many children,nursing,and the main etiquette procedures of marriage culture show the expectation of happy marriage;funeral culture is divided into funeral,funeral and memorial ceremony,which is the product of productivity level,religious concept and environment,with strong enlightenment effect.The third part discusses the Baqiao dialect words and the festival culture in the age,mainly manifested in two aspects,namely,the traditional festival folk culture and the characteristic festival folk culture,people express the rich emotion through the established ceremony and the soul of the national spirit;However,the change of the public concept and the market impact,the folk customs in the festival change or disappear,warning people of the urgency of the culture protection,and improving the consciousness of cultural protection.The fourth part explains the Baqiao dialect words and folk entertainment culture,including two aspects,namely folk competitive culture and folk game culture,explores the unique local folk entertainment activities,and focuses on the children’s entertainment activities.It has the characteristics of universality,stage and regularity,and is a game in line with the local environment and exercises the body and mind.It reveals the character of Baqiao people,and is also a symbol of traditional culture,and still has vitality today.Baqiao dialect retains a large number of folk words and some ancient languages and foreign languages,which is a long-term accumulation of people’s language life,and is conducive to the recording and dissemination of folk culture.In recent years,with the popularization of Putonghua,the input of foreign language and the large flow of population,the pure Baqiao dialect has gradually lost its status,and some customs have gradually disappeared.However,we can still see it through dialect words.
