| Lingshi is located in the central part of Shanxi Province,and its dialect belongs to the Bingzhou area of Jin dialect.This article relies on the theory of vocabulary to study the vocabulary of Lingshi dialect.On the basis of previous works,this article investigates the vocabulary of Lingshi dialect and analyzes it from four perspectives: word-formation,word-creation,semantics,and archaic words.It analyzes the vocabulary characteristics of Lingshi dialect through a comparison between dialect and MandarinThis article consists of five parts:The introduction section provides the overview and historical evolution of Lingshi County,followed by an overview of the current state of relevant research,as well as a description of the significance of the selected topic,the research methods,the sources of the corpus,the survey collaborators,and the use of symbols,and a description of the phonological system of the Lingshi dialect.The first part is a study of the word-formation of the Lingshi dialect,including two parts: word morphemes and word-formation methods.The morphemes section compares the dialect with Mandarin,and explores the differences in morpheme selection between the two.Specifically,it can be divided into three categories: the same choice of morphemes but different word orders,the same parts of morphemes,and completely different morphemes,and the characteristics of morpheme selection in word-formation in Lingshi dialect are summarized.The section of word-formation methods analyzes the three types of word-formation methods in Lingshi dialect: compound,additional,and overlapping.The compound section analyzes the five types of word-formation in Lingshi dialect:coordinated,modifier and the modified,middle-complement,verb-object,and subjectpredicate.The section on additional introduces the special prefixes,infixes,and suffixes in Lingshi dialect;and the overlapping section analyzes overlapping nouns,adjectives,and so on in Lingshi dialect.The second part is a study of the word-creation in Lingshi dialect,including the wordcreation motivation and the word-creation method.The word-creation motivation is divided into three parts: phonetic and semantic motivation,sentence and paragraph motivation,and cultural motivation.From the phonetic and semantic motivation,we list the dialect words that use the bowwow theory,and in the sentence and paragraph motivation,we pay attention to the performance of the vocabulary of the Lingshi dialect in naming things from different angles such as sound,shape,and so on.In the section on cultural motivation,we analyze the psychological and folkloric factors that affect the wordcreation process.In the part of word-creation method,we discuss the phonetic transformation and rhetorical method that are prominent in the Lingshi dialect,and introduce the phonetic transformation methods is introduced from four aspects: changing the sound and rhyme,changing the tone,dividing the sound,and combining the sound.The rhetorical method describe the metaphorical,metonymic,and euphemistic forms of word formation in the Lingshi dialect.The third part is a study of the semantics of the vocabulary of the Lingshi dialect,including the semantic value,semantic domain,and semantic field.The section on semantic value compares the Lingshi dialect with Mandarin in terms of the base and accompanying meanings of sememes,and describes the performance of the differences in sememes between the two.The semantic domain section starts from the scope of use and meaning of sememes,and conducts research on the extension of sememes,the pragmatic domain of sememes,and the combination analysis of sememes.In the semantic field section,the synonymous field,antonymous field,polysemous field,and generic field of vocabulary in Lingshi dialect are described and introduced respectively.By comparing Lingshi dialect with Mandarin,the differences between the two are explored to demonstrate the characteristics of Lingshi dialect.The fourth part is an examination of the archaic words of the Lingshi dialect.In this part,the archaic words of the dialect are divided into two categories: ancient Chinese words and modern Chinese words,using the late Tang and Five Dynasties as the boundary.The ancient literature usage of archaic words is examined,and the dialectal interpretation of archaic words is also explained,and example sentences in dialect are listed to examine the retention of archaic words in the Lingshi dialect.The concluding section summarizes the entire article and points out its shortcomings. |
