is an emotional experience.In a broad sense,nostalgia goes beyond the scope of personal emotions.It includes the memory and emotional connection of the hometown,hometown,hometown and other regional,cultural,and historical places,and it is a profound manifestation of local emotions.As small as an individual,as big as a family,a country,and a nation,nostalgia has always been hidden in it,and it is endless in the continuous inheritance of national culture.In recent years,nostalgia-themed documentaries have sprung up on the screen,such as "Nostalgia","Festival","Remember Nostalgia","In the Countryside","The Great Village" and other well-produced excellent nostalgia-themed documentaries.The images interpret the nostalgia and local cultural connotations of the new era.Among them,image rhetoric plays an irreplaceable role in expressing and interpreting the deep meaning of nostalgia.Using image language to directly appeal to the audience’s audio-visual senses,combined with the experience cognition of brain schema and fixed paradigms to complete the meaning construction of rhetoric,from a deeper To understand and interpret the inherent nostalgia between different nationalities and regional cultures.The use of image rhetoric in nostalgia-themed documentaries makes the creators more diverse in the form of image extension,and more ideologically profound in the expression of nostalgia connotation.This article is mainly guided by relevant theories such as nostalgia-themed documentaries and image rhetoric,and mainly adopts research methods such as literature analysis,case study,and social practice.The image rhetoric of nostalgia-themed documentaries is deeply analyzed,and the creative rules of image rhetoric in the construction of meaning are summarized.This topic has important theoretical significance and practical value for the creation and research of nostalgia-themed documentaries.Here,the author divides this thesis into five chapters,and discusses the research on the image rhetoric of nostalgia-themed documentaries in detail.The first chapter mainly traces the background and theoretically explains the concept of nostalgia-themed documentaries and image rhetoric.Firstly,it expounds the local "nostalgia" theory,and combines it with the concept of documentary at the theoretical level.Secondly,clarify the conceptual connotation of rhetoric,organically combine images and rhetoric,and form a concept of image rhetoric suitable for this article.Finally,from the three levels of construction mechanism,meaning anchoring and intrinsic value,it is progressively explained,and the influence of image rhetoric theory on the creation and meaning interpretation of nostalgia-themed documentaries is clarified.The second chapter mainly focuses on the metaphorical rhetoric and metonymic rhetoric in the nostalgia-themed documentary,as well as the image rhetoric composed of multiple modes.According to the rhetorical characteristics of metaphor,the aggregation of nostalgia poetry is divided into two levels of metaphor presence and metaphor departure,and combined with specific nostalgia documentaries for in-depth analysis.In the analysis of metonymy rhetoric,the combination of nostalgic reality is divided into conceptual metonymy at the level of "language" in time and space and indicative metonymy at the level of "grammar".The interpretation of multimodal image rhetoric specifically analyzes the multiple expression functions of multimodal metaphor and multimodal metonymy in construction of the theme of nostalgia through the rhetorical expression of auditory language.The fifth chapter mainly relies on different theoretical perspectives to elaborate on the diversified expression of nostalgia-themed documentary image rhetoric.The first section analyzes the psychological state and emotional changes of the audience when they watch the nostalgia documentary for image rhetorical expression from the audience side,so as to provide corresponding creative experience and guidance suggestions.The second section mainly analyzes how local nostalgia can be effectively
