| Sergy Sergeyevich Prokofyev was one of the most distinguished musicians of the first half of the twentieth century.Prokofyev wrote seven symphonies in his lifetime,and the Symphony No.3 was written in 1928,in the middle of his career,prokofyev’s creative techniques in theme development,harmony language,mode and tonality,as well as the structure of musical forms.Based on Prokofyev’s the Symphony No.3,this thesis starts with the composer’s creative process and specific creative techniques,to the composer’s four stages creation process as well as this work creation background,with opera “The Fire Angel”the difference and the connection,as well as the theme development,the harmony language and the form structure and so on related content carried on the analysis and the elaboration,the main features of the Symphony No.3 are the following: 1.The theme and its variations are closely linked by means of fixed musical development;2.The work is rooted in the development of tonal music;However,when there is no support for the tonal pieces of music;3.the works are still full of triads and triad derivatives,natural melody,local harmony and so on;There are even nine,eleven,and even thirteen chords superimposed on each other;4.the four-movement structure except for the first movement are mainly three-part with reproduction,in line with the principle of reproduction in the structure of the form.5.The musical structure of the four movements is mainly composed of three parts except the first movement,and each movement has a reproduction,which conforms to the principle of reproduction in the musical structure. |
