| Sergei Sergeyevich Prokofiev was one of the most outstanding composers of the first half of the 20 th century.He was a composer who not only inherited tradition but also dared to innovate,and could be called a classical modernist.Since the creation period,he has created numerous excellent music works.The "Second Piano Concerto" studied in this paper is an early work of Prokofiev,which reflects his lyrical and grotesque creation style,and also shows that he inherits the traditional and innovative creation concept.This paper takes the Second Piano Concerto as the research object and the harmony technique as the starting point to explore Prokofiev’s application of the two core lines of tradition and modernity in the work.The full text is divided into three chapters.The first chapter introduces the diverse chord structures in thework from the perspectivefunctionality;The second chapter analyzes the tonal presentation,layout,and application of the works from the perspective of mode and tonal thinking;Chapter 3 introduces the use of different root tone relationships in the work,as well as the techniques of harmonic layering and semi tone introduction generated during the progression of vocal parts,The final conclusion summarizes the harmony techniques used by Prokofiev.This article believes that in such a bizarre work,Prokofiev’s balanced grasp of the two routes of tradition and modernity can still be revealed,so we will focus on it to explore the characteristic harmony of this work. |
