| The report is an E-C translation analysis on the first two chapters of The Influencer Economy.The book introduces abundant cases of influencer’s businesses,and explores the reasons of their success.Stories introduced in the source text attach great importance to the development of Chinese influencer economy.It is valuable for the translator to introduce this book to Chinese readers.In the pre-translation,the source text is regarded as the informative text,according to Text Typology Theory.And after the analysis of the linguistic characteristics of the original text,Nida’s functional equivalence theory is applied to solve the problems in translation.For the lexical level,words are divided into two groups: proper nouns and common nouns.Various translation strategies,including transliteration,amplification,domestication and conversion of parts of speech,are adopted to accurately convey the messages of the source text and to shorten the distance between target readers and the source text.As for translation at the syntactic level,translation strategies such as syntactic linearity,domestication,and reconstruction are adopted to flexibly process the source text.As for the text,it is mainly discussed in cohesion and coherence,and correspondence of style.And the final purpose of all these cases analyses is to accurately convey the ideas of the source text,with ideal,expressive and fluent translation. |
