The rapid development of the Internet has brought online learning to millions of households,and the outbreak of COVID-19 further promoted the development of online classroom.In order to understand students’ attitudes towards online English learning and offline English learning further,the author conducted a survey to analyze the primary school students’ satisfaction to online English classes and offline English classes in Lanzhou,which can help us to compare and measure the quality of online and offline English learning and provide a basis for further improvement of English teaching strategies in primary schools.In this thesis,the author firstly uses the literature research method to sort out the development status of online and offline English learning in China and other countries.Then refer to a teaching satisfaction questionnaire in the existing research,and taking the primary school students who have online English learning experience as the survey objects to conduct a practical study.The collected data were processed by SPSS23.0 software,and the overall satisfaction degree of primary school students on online and offline English learning effect and its influencing factors were analyzed,and some improvement strategies and suggestions for primary school students on online and offline English teaching were put forward.In general,among the surveyed primary school students,most of them preferred the traditional offline English classroom learning method,teachers and parents love offline classroom learning better.The factors that affect the satisfaction of online and offline English learning include: teacher feedback timeliness,student learning autonomy,classroom interaction,homework and course relevance,course difficulty,information technology and learning terminal support,etc.On this basis,the author puts forward several strategies and suggestions for improving online and offline English learning.First,improve teachers’ comprehensive quality and combine online and offline advantages in running schools.schools establish "MOOC" online resource database to strengthen teachers’ information skills training;Secondly,stimulate students’ interest in learning and cultivate their independent learning ability.Original English picture book reading course should be added for lower-level students,and mixed online and offline learning mode should be developed for middle-level students,teachers train students’ independent learning ability through online preview,offline practice and online feedback mechanism;Finally,home and school work closely,schools optimize teaching resources.Parents and schools cooperate with school to urge students learning,schools need to enhance the support of the information technology to maximize the use of teaching resources.
