Nowadays society,with the rapid development of digital information,various micro-video platforms have been launched.Micro-video has penetrated into almost every field of people’s life,and people’s thinking of innovation and reform has also developed.The teaching methods of teaching Chinese to speakers of other languages should also keep pace with The Times and combine the contemporary new technological means into the actual classroom teaching practice,so as to continuously improve the teaching methods of teaching Chinese to speakers of other languages,stimulate students’ interest in learning Chinese,and improve the classroom teaching effect.The concept of blended micro-video teaching is put forward under the influence of this concept.Thailand,as one of the countries along the "One Belt and One Road",attaches great importance to Chinese and Chinese teaching,which is a great opportunity for the development of teaching Chinese to speakers of other languages.How to make full use of this opportunity to promote the development of it is an issue worthy of our attention.In addition,the rapid development of online Chinese teaching under the background of the epidemic situation has exposed some problems,such as the separation between the teaching subject and the learning subject,the lack of emotional interaction between teachers and students under the virtual network,and the easy forgetting of students after class.With the decline of the epidemic situation,the offline teaching model will return to the mainstream classroom model,and the improvement of the current situation of offline teaching should be strengthened.However,there are still some shortcomings in the traditional offline classroom teaching mode where teachers unilaterally output and students passively accept through mechanical exercises,such as boring class,few communication opportunities and weak practical application.Therefore,based on the concept of blended teaching method combining online and offline,the author applies micro-video teaching method to elementary oral Chinese class as a foreign language,hoping to effectively improve the problems existing in single online or offline teaching and make a contribution to improving the current situation of elementary oral Chinese classes overseas.Micro-video teaching under the blended teaching concept in this study refers to the teaching process under the guidance of constructivism learning theory,humanistic psychology theory,multimedia learning cognitive theory and mobile learning theory,taking teaching objectives and teaching content as the fundamental basis and aiming at students’ learning characteristics and rules.It’ s a new teaching mode,which through the use of online teaching platform functions and video resources combined with offline traditional teaching form,takes short-duration and high-quality micro-video as the main teaching medium and auxiliary mean to present the teaching content,mainly aims at improving students’ learning interest and learning ability to achieve the purpose of improving students’ learning effect.This study focuses on the following three questions: whether the blended teaching concept is applicable to the elementary oral Chinese class in Thailand;Whether the teaching effect of micro-video application in blended classroom is better than that of single traditional teaching;Whether we can combine traditional education with network technology in the new era to form a blended teaching model and apply it to oral Chinese as a foreign language class in the future.The students of two elementary oral Chinese classes in the university in Thailand Rajamangala University of Technology Isan(RMUTI),which have the same Chinese level and meet the conditions for the implementation of the experiment,are selected for comparative study of teaching.One class uses the single traditional teaching method as the control class,and the other one uses the mixed micro-video teaching method as the experimental class.The specific method is to make use of the micro-video platform functions and video resources.The short and concise micro-videos created by the teacher,secondary edited by the teacher and edited by students in three different forms are applied to the pre-class,in-class and after-class of elementary oral Chinese class by way of preview,teaching and homework.In the mid-term,the written test and teaching adjustment were carried out for the two classes,and at the end of the semester,the online written test and the offline oral test involving a third party were carried out for the two classes to obtain objective performance data.In addition,questionnaire survey and interview were conducted on students of experimental class before and after teaching comparison experiment.In this experiment,the author adopted the teaching practice method,observation method,questionnaire method,interview method and data analysis method throughout the whole process.According to the investigation and analysis of the actual classroom teaching effect,the author concluded that the blended micro-video teaching method is suitable for the elementary Chinese oral class in Thailand,and the teaching effect of the experimental class using this teaching method is indeed better than that of the control class using the single traditional teaching method.Finally,based on the experimental results and problems encountered during the experiment,the author reflects on the application of blended micro-video teaching method in primary oral Chinese as a foreign language classroom,and puts forward personal views and suggestions.
