Research On The Innovation Of Liu Dehai’s Pipa Playing Technique

From the 80 s of the 20 th century to the present,the pipa music composed and adapted by Mr.Liu Dehai has influenced many pipa learners,and his musical ideas,performance techniques and creative concepts are of epoch-making significance.This paper takes the innovative performance techniques in a series of solo pipa pieces composed by the pipa master Mr.Liu Dehai in the 80 s and 90 s of the 20 th century as the research object,and summarizes the new left and right hand techniques and original techniques involved in the music from the perspective of performance practice.This paper consists of an introduction,three chapters and an epilogue,including the reasons for selecting the topic,a review of the research status and research methods.The first chapter mainly introduces the overview of Mr.Liu Dehai’s artistic life and innovative techniques,and the author roughly divides the innovative techniques in Liu Dehai’s pipa music into three categories: development and innovation on the basis of traditional performance techniques;original techniques;Special sound techniques.The second and third chapters compare and analyze the representative techniques of the classification,so as to explore the significance of Mr.Liu Dehai’s innovative techniques.In conclusion,the author summarizes the innovation and development of techniques made by Mr.Liu Dehai,which triggers the author’s thinking about new techniques,and explores the reasons for Mr.Liu Dehai’s series of measures for the creation and reform of pipa art.
