Igor Naumovich Shamo,a Soviet composer in the 20 th century,has won the "Ukrainian People’s Artist" and the "Shevchenko National Award".His creation in his life involves a wide range of musical genres and shows the characteristics of different schools.The piano suite "Pictures of Russian Painters" is one of his representative works in the field of piano music creation.The composer created the corresponding piano works of six prime ministers according to six paintings of Russian and Soviet painters.This suite is exquisite in structure and unique in conception.Inspired by the paintings created by the painters,the composers used a variety of creative techniques and national music styles to try to use music to interpret the contents expressed and not expressed in the paintings.This suite is not only an exploration of the relationship between music and paintings,but also an attempt by the composer to convey the sense of picture through the music audience.The six paintings selected by the composer are very representative.The paintings of Russian painters not only refer to the nationality of the author,but also a sketch of Russia itself.This essay starts from the creation and practical performance of the works,trying to explore the creation source,intention and expression modes of the composer when creating the works,and this essay analyzes the detailed performance techniques of the works one by one from the perspective of the original score combined with its own performance experience.
