| As inheritors of Chinese language,American Chinese children not only have the common characteristics of overseas Chinese children living in a multicultural environment,bilingual thinking and intercultural communication ability,Chinese listening and speaking ability superior to reading and writing ability,but also have the characteristics of strong plasticity and inattention.This paper selects Chinese American children as the research object,introduces multi-modes into online Chinese teaching,analyzes the characteristics of Chinese American children learning Chinese and the problems existing in online Chinese teaching,and takes Lingo Ace international online Chinese education platform as an example to effectively integrate the modes of text,pictures,animation and audio.To stimulate the various senses of Chinese American children,achieve the expected teaching objectives,improve the interest of Chinese American children in learning Chinese,and explore the multi-modal teaching mode of online Chinese American children.First of all,this paper expounds the relevant research background and significance,and further elaborates and analyzes related theories such as social semiotics,systematic functional linguistics,multimodal discourse analysis theory,multimodal teaching system and the types of modes.Secondly,this paper analyzes the multimodal Chinese teaching for online Chinese American children,and designs and analyzes the comprehensive Chinese course for Chinese American children from the perspective of multimodal teaching.Thirdly,we observe the Chinese comprehensive classroom of Chinese American children from the perspective of multimode and get the corresponding teaching effect feedback.Finally,this paper puts forward some suggestions and reflections on multimodal online Chinese comprehensive course teaching for American Chinese children.According to the research,under the guidance of the multimodal theory,the fun of Chinese classroom for American Chinese children is greatly increased,and the learning effect of learners is also greatly improved.However,the limitations of the multimodal theory cannot be ignored,such as the excessive use of modes leads to the distraction of learners’ attention,and the uneven distribution of teaching time leads to the decline of classroom efficiency.Therefore,in view of the above problems,teachers need to flexibly select modes and combine multiple modes according to the specific situation of learners,rather than over-reliance on the multi-mode theory.Only by combining multi-modal theory with teaching practice,can we better play the role of multi-modal,so that learners can master the content more efficiently.It is also suggested that teachers should match the modes reasonably to avoid the overuse of modes.Teacher-led,guide learners to learn and combine traditional teaching methods with multi-modes to put forward teaching suggestions. |
