The development of computer science and technology has brought great convenience to people’s life and work, which has attracted people’s increasing interests.Translation is bound to be of great importance in introducing such technology to China, providing reference for domestic learners and users. The first three chapters of Computer Science and Technology in Different Fields are selected as the source text, focusing on the origin and development of human-computer interaction, and applications in the medical and business fields. This report first provides a brief overview of the background of this translation task, its purpose, the significance of the task, the guiding theory applied, the content of the text, and the translation process. It then focuses on the analysis of the difficulties of translation and the corresponding translation methods. The analysis, based on Newmark’s text typology theory, shows that the source text pertains to the informational texts, and the general principle of translation is determined to convey information accurately. The language should be concise and clear,so as to achieve communicative effect.Ant Conc analysis shows that there are a large number of terms and passive sentences in the text, being the difficulties in the translation. The translation of terms mainly adopts literal translation and zero translation. For the translation of passive sentences, passive sentences, active sentences and assertion sentences can be used in Chinese translation. At the level of discourse, translation is based on the principle of achieving coherence and articulation of the discourse. The text typology theory has guiding significance for technical translation. The translation of technical terms should be accurate and uniform, the sentences be smooth and fluent, and the text be coherent and consistent with the expression habits of the target language. It is expected that this report can provide translators with some terms and translation methods in the principles of human-computer interaction, and also some references for the translation of passive sentences.
