| In recent years, with the advancement of technology and the increasing demand for translation,computer-aided translation(CAT)has become widely used in various types of texts. However, due to the shortcomings of machine translation,it is difficult to achieve the accuracy of professional translators in terms of words and sentence structures. Therefore, manual post editing is required to produce higher quality translations. As an informative text,Smart Village Technology includes a large number of technical terms and strict sentence structures, making it suitable for computer-aided translation. Therefore,CAT is adopted for the translation practice with the help of terminology and memory banks. In response to the problems encountered in CAT translations, the post translation editing methods are explored from vocabulary, syntax and discourse respectively. At the lexical level, post translation editing was conducted on the mistranslations of terminology, polysemy, and part of speech;at the syntactic level, errors in passive sentences, inanimate subject sentences, and compound and complex sentences have been corrected. The lack of coherence in translation is addressed at the level of discourse by reconstructing internal logic through post editing. The author flexibly applys translation techniques and strategies in the post editing process, and presents a more accurate and fluent translation based on the guidance of text typology theory. It is hoped that this report can provide reference for the computer-aided translation of scientific texts. |
