Preliminary Study On The Development Of Revolutionary Memorials In Shandong Province

The Revolutionary Memorial Hall is the red gene bank of the Party and the country,and an important place for inheriting the glorious history of the heroic struggle of the Party and the people.Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China,the Party Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping as the core has attached unprecedented importance to the work of revolutionary cultural relics and the construction of revolutionary memorial halls.The institutional design and connotation of the Revolutionary Memorial Hall have been continuously expanded,with precise positioning and long-term planning.The construction of Revolutionary Memorial Hall has constantly sought innovative breakthroughs,and high-quality development has begun to yield results.In recent years,Shandong has closely followed national policies,fully exerted the advantages of revolutionary old areas and red land,deeply excavated the glorious revolutionary traditions and profound revolutionary history,fully developed and protected the physical historical materials and revolutionary sites left by the people in the revolution,construction,and reform,and relied on this to develop Revolutionary Memorial Halls.In 2020,Shandong took the lead in completing a comprehensive survey and statistics of revolutionary cultural relics in the country,and has successively announced two batches of lists of 1,040 immovable revolutionary cultural relics and 19,433 movable revolutionary cultural relics.The quantity ranks among the forefront in the country,providing a solid foundation for the further development of revolutionary memorial halls in Shandong Province.Therefore,studying and exploring the development of revolutionary memorial halls in Shandong Province has significant value and significance.Based on these rich red cultural resources and with the strong support of the government and social forces,the development and utilization of revolutionary memorial halls in Shandong Province has made significant progress.However,at present,there is no complete statistics and sorting of the revolutionary memorial halls in Shandong Province,and most of them are only scattered in the museum catalogs published by the national or provincial cultural relics bureau.The book "Overview of Chinese Revolutionary Memorial Halls"compiled by the National Cultural Relics Bureau in 2021 included 1,341 Revolutionary Memorial Halls,of which Shandong Province has 135,ranking first in the country.Based on this study,this article includes the 10 Revolutionary Memorial Halls registered in the "2021 National Museum List" but not mentioned in the "Overview of Chinese Revolutionary Memorial Halls" book,totaling 145.Using methods such as literature research and data analysis,the development process and current situation of Revolutionary Memorial Halls in Shandong Province are sorted out,and the development path of Revolutionary Memorial Halls in Shandong Province is explored.First,this article defines the relevant concepts of Revolutionary Memorial Halls and revolutionary cultural relics,summarizes the three major characteristics of Revolutionary Memorial Halls,i.e.,thematic,emotional,and political,and their relationship with red culture,providing theoretical support for the analysis in later sections.Secondly,the overall situation of Revolutionary Memorial Halls in Shandong Province is summarized and sorted out from the three aspects of development history,regional distribution,and type structure.Subsequently,based on the actual situation,the institutional construction and business work of Revolutionary Memorial Halls in Shandong Province are studied and discussed from the perspectives of management system,collection system,exhibition display,education activities,and propaganda methods,and the development status and existing problems are analyzed and summarized.Finally,based on the problems mentioned above,relevant countermeasures and suggestions are proposed.It is suggested to improve the management system to promote mutual promotion and coordinated operation of various elements.By gathering the audience,displaying the collection,restoring the situation,providing experience and other innovative means,enriching the form and carrier,truly making the revolutionary cultural relics "alive",with a view to providing reference for the future development of revolutionary memorials in Shandong Province.
