Application Of Proverbs In Chinese Language Teaching In Uzbek

Proverbs exist in the languages of every nation,and they are mainly spread through word of mouth and are proverbial.Although the proverbs of different countries have different language forms and cultural customs,they are all derived from people’s long-term life experience.Chinese proverbs have a long history and are rich in content.They involve all aspects of life.They are the crystallization of the wisdom of the Chinese nation for thousands of years.Chinese proverbs are a kind of folk idioms.Proverbs are vocabulary and meaningful fixed structure sentences as well,whose brevity and simplicity,lucidity and vividness are known as the Chinese life encyclopedia.Thus,Chinese proverbs are quite suitable teaching and learning materials for non-Chinese language learners.The thesis involves four parts.The first part introduces the reasons for selecting the topic,research content,research methods,and research significance.The second part reviews the status quo of teaching Chinese proverbs as a foreign language.The third part is an overview of Chinese proverbs,mainly from the definition,classification,language features,functions and values of proverbs.The fourth part discusses the research on the teaching methods of Chinese proverbs,the selection criteria of proverbs,and then proposes five teaching methods.The last part discusses the significance of the teaching Chinese proverbs in Uzbekistan in terms of China-Uzbekistan friendly cooperation and exchanges.
