Study On Tiger Image In Gansu Rock Painting

Gansu is in a unique geographical position in the west of China,which is not only an important channel of ancient cultural exchanges between the east and the West,but also a transitional zone connecting the northern grassland desert and the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau.The ancient rock paintings in Gansu fully reflect the characteristics of this regional culture in terms of form and content.Tiger occupies an important place in the paintings of animal images in gansu province,in the east and west ends of rock,the different manifestations of the image on the modelling of tiger,behind it is contains the ancient ancestors worship of ancestors and gods consciousness,through the analysis of the animal paintings in the tiger image,help to understand the spirit of ancient and modern folk assigned to specific animals in meaning or symbolism,It also shows that in the theory and practice of art design,the transformation and inheritance of Chinese history and culture must be analyzed and observed.
