MOOC(Massive Open Online Courses),launched in 2008,have grown rapidly in the past decade and are now available all over the world.In the wave of vigorous development of MOOC,as well as under the background of promoting cultural confidence and vigorously developing cultural communication,MOOC of Chinese character culture for foreigners also emerged at the historic moment.In this paper,the three specific MOOC of Chinese character culture for foreigners,through careful transfer and in-depth analysis,to explore the different MOOC of Chinese character culture for foreigners longed for curriculum design ideas and characteristics of different design concepts and design ideas of course presents the advantages and disadvantages,so as to explore the present stage of MOOC of Chinese character culture for foreigners,highlight the advantages and limitations of common and foreign culture for Chinese characters course for the future development put forward some suggestions,to explore foreign culture for Chinese characters course further optimize the direction of development,promote the teaching Chinese as a foreign language as well as further development of Chinese international promotion enterprise.This article selects the ‘Learning Chinese Characters to Know China”,“Wisdom of Chinese Character”,“Walk into Chinese Character” three foreign culture for Chinese characters course as the research object,using literature method,observation method,content analysis and contrast analysis,from the interface,curriculum,course content,form a complete set of resources,course examination with five dimensions,for each course.Through a detailed investigation and comparative analysis of three MOOC courses,the main advantages of MOOC of Chinese character culture for foreigners are as follows: strong openness,which is conducive to the dissemination of Chinese character culture;excellent production,the quality of the course is stable;the courses content presents a variety of forms and can be used as resources.The main problem is that the form of interaction is relatively single,and the course production is not perfect in some details.Based on this,five suggestions are put forward for the development of MOOC of Chinese character culture for foreigners in the future.First,we should expand the interactive form of MOOC of Chinese character culture for foreigners with the help of science and technology.Second,we should actively explore different application forms of MOOC of Chinese character culture for foreigners.Third,we should continue to strengthen the construction of teachers,teaching materials and teaching methods.;Fourth,more targeted MOOC of Chinese character culture for foreigners should be developed according to different audiences.Finally,the evaluation and audit system of MOOC of Chinese character culture for foreigners should be improved.
