This graduation work is a historical and cultural documentary that attempts to focus on a period of individual and collective experiences,reviewing a history of exiles of educated youths that have been gradually forgotten by people.On December 22,1968,"People’s Daily" published Mao Zedong’s instructions(also known as "one two,two two" instructions)in the editor’s note: "It is necessary for intellectual young people to go to the countryside to receive re-education for the poor and middle peasants" Set off a national upsurge of "going down the mountain".On January 12,1969,the Yunnan Provincial Revolutionary Committee issued a document "Resolutely implement Chairman Mao’s latest instructions and immediately mobilize urban intellectual youth and residents to settle down in rural areas".More than 30,000 Kunming educated youths went to Baoshan and other places in batches.Among them,a large number of educated youths crossed the border privately,crossed the border river and entered Myanmar,becoming "trousers" to support the revolution of the Burmese Communist Party.How this event happened,why did it happen,how did the educated youth across the border return to the country,and the status quo are the main contents of this work.In this way,the audience may review and review this history again,excavate a historical sample of people,and discover a different kind of educated youth life.
