Bei Dao,Duo Duo and Yang Lian,three greatly influential contemporary poets in the history of China,their "diaspora " writing has not arisen enough attention since they went abroad.This paper will be mainly based on their poems written overseas.First,it analyzes the change of time and space consciousness in the foreign environment,then analyzes nostalgic writing of the three poets,and on this basis,the crisis of cosmopolitanity and locality of "diaspora writing" facing overseas Crisis will be explored as well.In the introduction,it mainly outlines the situation of scholars’ research on the poetry creation during three poets’ "diaspora" period.The overseas poetic studies of them are more abundant than domestic ones,but there is a problem of political interpretation in the early stage.The first chapter is a brief review of the diaspora process of the three poets,including their backgrounds of life and the supplement of the political and cultural backgrounds before diaspora and an analysis of the connotation of "diaspora" this word itself.The three poets shared the similar background while at home and they could not get rid of the brand their time brought to them.They began to separate themselves from the collective at the same staring point.The second chapter analyzes the three poets’ exotic experience writing in turn,focusing on the introduction of space-time consciousness in "diaspora writing".This chapter first introduces the basic concepts of circulation,linearity and prototype space-time,etc.,and then further analyzes the phenomenon of the circulation space-time and language cycle in Bei Dao’s poetry,the double space-time awareness in Duo Duo’s poetry and Yang Lian ’s construction of the prototype space-time.Their different reactions while facing the great shift of time-space present the multiple possibilities of Contemporary Chinese poetry writing overseas.The third chapter mainly describes their homeland experience contained in their overseas productions,and focuses on analyzing the nostalgic methods in "diaspora writing".On the basis of introducing several types of nostalgia,this chapter comparatively analyzes the restorative nostalgic tendency in Bei Dao and Yang Lian’s poems and the reflective nostalgic tendency in Duo Duo’s poems.Restorative nostalgia stays at the level of personal fantasy for its idealized and romantic characteristics,while reflective nostalgia has the power to enlighten the present and the future for its distance from the past,its rational attitude and critical spirit.The last chapter firstly negates the practice of "political interpretation" by sorting out the overseas distribution of the works of the three poets.And then it is going to uncover the conflicts between locality and cosmopolitanity of “diaspora writing” by exploring the question of whether "world poetry" is possible in a translation perspective."Political interpretation" is a misinterpretation of the locality of "diaspora writing",and the realization of the cosmopolitanity of "diaspora writing" also asks for the premise of locality.The last chapter first shows the plight encountered by poetry while spreading overseas via sorting out the situation of the spreading process of these works,and negates the widespread "political interpretation" of Western academic circles.Next,through the perspective of translation,the question of whether "world poetry" is possible is used to demonstrate the local and global crisis faced by the "diaspora writing" of Contemporary Chinese poetry."Political interpretation" is a misinterpretation of the locality of "diaspora writing".The local characteristics of Chinese poetry will never be lost in diaspora,however,it is often missed in translation.The expression "world poetry" is untenable for the realization of "world poetry" needs to be based on the locality of poetry which cannot be translated well.In summary,the analysis of three poets’ “diaspora writing” from three main angles of time-space dislocation,nostalgic methods and crises between locality and Cosmopolitanity shows that poets with a common cultural background have created various writings in their diaspora processes,proving that there are many possibilities for the Contemporary Chinese poetry to survive overseas.Although the poets are scattered overseas,the exotic surroundings force them constantly to look back,create their own time-space,and form their own nostalgic postures.The unfamiliar environment also helps to highlight the true temperament and core of their poetry on a broader stage,and provides a lot of inspiration and experience for the subsequent writing of Contemporary Chinese poetry.
