Research On Chinese Prepositions From The Contemporary Perspective Of Chinese,Western And Japanese Interactions

Chinese preposition is a crucial category in Chinese grammar.It plays an important role in the Chinese grammar system.The study of Chinese prepositions has a long history in China,but 马氏文通 classified Chinese prepositions into independent parts of speech for the first time at the end of the 19th century.However,we should look at the world from the perspective of world Sinology history where the independence of Chinese prepositions has long been established in the West and Japan.Therefore,this paper aims to have a comprehensive understanding of the process of Chinese prepositions’ independent classification,the naming of terms,and the formation of concepts.It is also necessary to study the research of Chinese in foreign countries,especially in the West and Japan.This thesis begins with the year 1324 when Lu Yiwei published Yu Zhu in the Yuan Dynasty and ends with the founding of the people’s Republic of China in 1949.In the time dimension of more than 600 years in modern times,it has studied the relevant materials of Chinese grammar in China,the West,and Japan,and described the opinions of scholars in various periods on Chinese prepositions.This thesis is divided into four chapters.The first chapter mainly introduces the significance of this study and the present situation of preposition research and also defines the research scope and time scope of this paper.The second chapter examines the types and processes of naming Chinese prepositions in China,the West,and Japan,as well as the interaction patterns among them.The third chapter examines the classification and interaction of Chinese prepositions by China,the West,and Japan.The fourth chapter examines the research on the usage of Chinese prepositions in China,the West,and Japan,and the interactive mode.
