Objective:Low energy availability is a special condition in which the remaining energy after exercise training is not sufficient for other functions of the body. This special functional state can lead to many potential problems, including physical and psychological aspects. Many problems, such as physiological metabolic disorders, menstrual disorders, bone damage and cardiovascular function, can directly affect athletes’ sports performance. The purpose of this study is to investigate the risk of low energy availability and nutritional cognition of sports dance female athletes,to explore the correlation between the two,and to analyze the influencing factors.Such as low energy availability and cognition of nutrition.Method:In this study,Female sports dancers(n=218,Age=19(4)years,Height=166.8±4.9 cm)as the object of investigation.A questionnaire survey to assess the risk of LEA and eating disorders and nutritional awareness,Female Low Energy Availability Questionnaire,Eating Disorders Questionnaire and Nutrition Knowledge,Attitudes,Behavioral Questionnaire was completed by participants.According to the athlete’s LEAF-Q score and years of exercise,The high risk group with LEAF-Q score≥8 and the low risk group with score<8,3 years or more of professional training in sports and dance,Participation in national or international events more than three times a year,The subjects were divided into professional group and amateur group.SPSS 23.0 is used to analyze the recovery data from a statistical point of view.Data parameters are represented by means ± standard deviation,Use the Median(interquartile range)to represent nonparametric data. For the relevance of the indicators,Spearman correlation coefficient is used to determine the whole. At p<0.05,The difference between the data is obvious.Results:(1)For 218 sports dancers,a total of 61(28.0%)had a LEA risk,197(90.3%)had a risk of eating disorders, and 123(56.4%)had a low nutritional cognitive level.(2)There was no significant difference in sports injury(25.9%vs 20.4%,p=0.512),gastrointestinal dysfunction(55.6%vs 57.6%,p=0.841)and menstrual disorder(29.6%vs 36.1%,p=0.509)among athletes with different sports levels.(3)Of athletes at different levels,Compared with the professional athletes(6(9)vs 4(7),p=0.039)the Bulimia of amateur athletes was significantly higher; In different risk groups, high risk groups in Bulimia(B)(8(9)vs 5(8),p=0.004),Drive for Thinness(DT)(12(13)vs 9(11),p=0.017),overall score(41(22)vs 33(26),p=0.008)was significantly higher than that in the low-risk group(p<0.05).(4)The overall KAP score was lower(56.68± 10.59),and the proportion of nonconformities was higher(56.4%).There was no significant difference in different exercise levels(55.67± 13.30 vs 56.83± 10.19,p=0.595),respectively.The athletes in high-risk groups(54.33± 11.79 vs 57.60±9.98,p=0.040)scored significantly higher.(5)LEAF-Q scores showed a negative correlation with nutritional attitudes(r=-0.138,p=0.042),respectively.LEAF-Q scores were positively correlated with Drive for Thinness(DT)(r=-0.254,p=0.000),Bulimia(B)(r=0.287,p=0.000)and Body Dissatisfaction(r=-0.174,0.010).Conclusion:The overall nutritional cognition level of female sports dancers LEA higher risk groups was lower, and the LEA risk and nutritional attitude showed a negative correlation trend.Coaches engaged in sports training and related workers in sports nutrition industry can consider carrying out relevant nutrition courses to improve athletes’ attitude towards nutrition in order to reduce the risk of LEA.
