The emotional interaction between parents and children is of great significance to children’s social development,but the current research on parent-child relationships mainly focuses on children’s attachment and parenting styles,and most of the studies are single-directional.Based on the theory of family systems,the definition of parentchild relationship is a dynamic and interconnected system.It draws on the concept of "emotional availability" from Zeynep Biringen,professor of human development and family education in the United States.This study believes that parent-child relationships should not be examined separately,but should be placed in a situation of binary interaction.Therefore,based on the full study of domestic and foreign sentimental empirical research results,a large number of kindergarten observations,parent-child Interactive observation and interviews,summarizing the questionnaire data,and proposing the concept of localized "emotional availability" refers to the ability to share emotional connections and enjoy mutual satisfaction and healthy relationships between the children and children,including the caregiver dimension and the child dimension.This study takes 2-5 years old children and mothers as research objects,and analyzes the development status of emotional availability in the mother dimension and the child dimension.The study consists of three parts.Study 1 collected 31 empirical researches on emotional availability from SSCI from 1991 to 2019,and carried out a detailed content analysis on the research objects,research methods and research results of emotional availability,and sorted out the characteristics of emotional availability children,The research on the characteristics of the parent and the caregiver provides the premise and the main line of research for the localization research of research two and research three.Study 2 based on a large number of interviews,parent-child interaction observations,and 7 family caregiver and child interviews,based on 60 pairs of parent-child interaction observations,compiles a localized emotional availability observation scale for China.Adopt strict reliability and validity control.The third study uses structured observation methods,designing three different difficulty tasks of free games,origami games,and jigsaw puzzles,collecting data on parent-child interaction between 60 pairs of 2-5 years old children and their mothers,and using self-edited emotional availability observations The scale evaluates the current status of emotional availability between parents and children,and summarizes the development characteristics and interaction models of emotional availability between Chinese children aged 2-5 and their mothers.(1)Emotional availability mainly uses the observation method,which is affected by the characteristics of children,caregivers and cultural background.(2)The internal consistency reliability of the scale is 0.861,the reliability of the scorer is 0.751,and the structure fits well.(3)From 2 to 5 years old,emotional availability is a slow and upward trend as a whole(4)The age of the mother and whether a full-time mother can influence the mother’s guidance and non-invasiveness.(5)Emotional availability is related to the difficulty of the game.The harder the game,the lower the emotional availability.(6)Parent-child interaction includes four emotional availability modes,which are enthusiastic,peaceful,indifferent,and rejective.
