The stone arrowhead is a common stone remnant from prehistoric sites in the Min River Basin. It symbolizes the development of tool technology and the progress of civilization. The stone arrowhead reflects the daily life and production economy of prehistoric humans. It is of great significance for understanding contemporary human behavior. The Min River Basin is the largest river in the southeastern region of China, and it is also an important transportation road for the exchange of mainland culture and ocean culture. It also has research value. Therefore, the research material in this article is the stone arrows which excavated from the prehistoric sites in the Min River Basin.Through the systematic study of the type analysis, staging and excavated state analysis of the stone arrowheads,it is possible to understand the interaction between the prehistoric stone arrowheads and humans in the Min River Basin. On this basis, this article compares the stone arrowheads of the upper Min River, which is biased towards mainland culture, and the lower Min River, which has distinctive marine culture. This article believes that changes in the climate environment, changes in the forms of production, and regional exchanges are factors that affect the differences in the patterns of stone arrowheads and excavated situations in these two regions. The research results show that the number and shape of the stone arrowheads in the upper reaches of the Min River and the lower reaches of the Min River have changed over time, resulting in similarities and differences. Before 6500-5000 years ago, there were not many stone arrowheads, and their styles were simple.About 5000-4300 years ago,the culture of the upper reaches of the Min River and the lower reaches of the Min River began to have a relatively close relationship. This connection is manifested in the various types of stone arrowheads, and they have common points. At the time of 43003500 years ago,the stone arrowheads had the most variety. The upper reaches of the Min River continue to be influenced by terrestrial culture, while the lower reaches of the Min River continue to maintain distinctive marine cultural characteristics. At this time, the stone arrowheads in these two places have many similarities, but the differences are more obvious. At the same time, the expansion of human settlements and the improvement of the technology of stone tool making have resulted in the mass production and use of stone arrowheads.Until about 3500-2700 years ago, cultural exchanges between the upper reaches of the Min River and the lower reaches of the Min River increased.Because of the changes in the production economy and cultural, the practicality of the stone arrowheads has diminished. However,it did not disappear because of this, and still played an important role in prehistoric culture.
