| Children’s images were very popular in the decoration of tombs in the Song,Liao and Jin Dynasties.According to the author’s statistics,there are more than 60 tombs decorated with this theme,and they are rich in types,widely distributed,and superb.They have become the main decorative themes in tombs.The study of children’s images is helpful to investigate the complex aspects of children’s art in the Song,Liao and Jin Dynasties and its connection with the world after death.However,there is very little research on this in the current academic circles,and it is basically limited to content textual research or as circumstantial evidence for infant play pictures.In view of this,the author will comprehensively sort out and study the children’s images in the tombs of Song,Liao and Jin,examine their position in the tomb and their combination with other images,and explore their ritual environment in the tomb in light of the thought and cultural context of the time.The transformation of the meaning of the tomb,so as to observe the prosperity of children’s culture and art in the Song,Liao and Jin Dynasties from the tomb decoration.In the interpretation,the author introduced Wu Hong’s theory of "Total Art",emphasizing the significance of children’s images in the overall environment of the tomb,and focused on analyzing the picture programs and design ideas of the entire tomb mural from the perspective of children’s images.The specific content of this article is as follows:The first chapter first reflects and examines the concept of "baby play picture" in the history of painting,and on this basis,reorganizes the history of children’s art from the perspective of genealogy.Secondly,it combs the images of children in the tombs of Song,Liao and Jin from the perspectives of time and space distribution and subject type.Chapters 2 to 5 discuss the etiquette significance of children’s images in the tomb,respectively examine the positions and function of the two children’s play pictures of the Xuanhua tombs,the Huasheng boy picture,the children’s social fire performance picture,and the parenting pictures.The goal of this paper includes:to explain he function of the mural image program in the light of the Buddhist thoughts,Confucian concepts,and secular customs of the time,explains the complex associations of various children’s images with the post-mortem beliefs such as ascending to immortals,children,and lucky houses.Chapter 6 analyzes the overall layout and design ideas of the Song and Jin tombs,discusses the influence of the popular "Family Celebration Picture" in the Song Dynasty on the decoration of tombs,and interprets the reasons for the large number of children’s images in the decorations of the Song and Jin tombs. |
