From Classic To Poems:Situation In The Book Of Songs During The May4 Movement

The book of songs plays an important role in the traditional society,which is the source of the scholars’ thoughts.However,under the influence of the Western tide in modern times,its original position was challenged,and gradually changed from classic to historical material;at the same time,under the background that the New Literature Movement promoted the position of literature represented by poetry,the literary aspect of the book of songs became increasingly prominent,and its position also improved.By combing the process of the transformation of the book of songs from classics to poems under the influence of the ideological trend of the times,we can not only understand the situation of classics in modern times,but also,through the investigation of its situation,we can join in the overall understanding of the academic and ideological atmosphere around the May 4th movement.The full text is divided into four chapters.At the beginning of the Republic of China,the monarchy changed into the Republic of China,which caused social unrest.The original social morality is no longer suitable for the new era.As the carrier of the old morality,the book of songs has become a topic of concern.With the rise of the new cultural movement and the movement of sorting out national heritage,the book of songs,as the old one,began to be transformed.Influenced by the concept of "all six classics are history",the book of songs has gradually become an important historical material resource in traditional society.This leads to the problem of how the book of songs changes from "Classic" to "poems".Therefore,breaking the political influence attached to the book of songs to restore its original poem has become an important step in this transformation.The problems from the folk in catered to the new trend of thought of "going to the folk" at that time,which made the change of Guofeng from the classic to the ballad of great significance.
