Since Poland joined the Belt and Road initiative,pragmatic cooperation in various fields between China and Poland has shown vitality.Language is indispensable for the realization of the "Five Links" since linguistic communication is the prerequisite and entrance for achieving mutual benefit and win-win results for both countries.Therefore,language talents play an important role in promoting the construction of the Belt and Road initiative and building a community of shared future for humanity.In this context,Sinology Department in Polish universities is an important position for cultivating high-grade Chinese talents,of which talent training model and talent quality is directly related to the consequence of the Belt and Road construction as well as the vital interests of the two countries.During this new circumstance,how to seize historical opportunities,improve talent training models,and export high-grade Chinese talents is not only a significant issue for the Sinology Department to solve,but also an urgent requirement for the realization of interactive win-win for national development initiatives and talent training in universities.Based on the Synergetics Theory,Dissipative Structure Theory and the Theory of Monitoring Model for Second Language Development,this study selected two comprehensive universities,which are Mickiewicz University and Jagiellon University as representative examples,combined with different perspectives of teachers,students and graduates and employers that are closely related to the cultivation of talents of Sinology Department,to conduct a multi-angle analysis and in-depth discussion of the current situation,effectiveness and dilemma of the talent cultivation model of the Sinology Department in Poland from the level of macro,meso and micro by applying the research methods of questionnaires,in-depth interviews,and case comparisons.The following conclusions have been reached:Ⅰ.At the macro level,the forms of synergy between the Department of Sinology and different cooperative entities are quite different in Poland,which are mainly reflected in teacher strength,book resources,and student mobility.The common point is the lack of roles that is played by enterprise in the process of talent cultivation.Ⅱ.At the meso level,the objectives of talent cultivation designed by the Department of Sinology are lowly compatible with national policies,market demands,and students’individual pursuits.The diversity of the curriculum system,the structure of which is inadequate and flexibility needs improving,cannot support the cultivation of personalized talents.Considering the system of cultivation,the enrollment system is incomplete and the implementation of the elimination system needs to be strengthened.Ⅲ.At the micro level,the teaching content is obsolete and monotonous due to the slow update of coursebooks and the sluggish faculty development.The teaching method has merits and demerits while the common drawback is that it ignores cultural elements,which is not conducive to the shaping of the ability of applying language as well as the awareness of cross-cultural communication for students.What’s more,too much emphasis is placed on the summative assessment of language courses while the evaluation of cultural courses is neglected,and the function of encouragement,feedback that formative evaluation exerts is weak.Ⅳ.In terms of employers:Employers do not have high evaluations of Sinology graduates concerning cognition,skills,and social abilities,manifesting that it is imperative to improve the quality and effectiveness of talent cultivation of sinology department and prompt the innovation of cultivation models.As is indicated by the opinions of employers,firstly,there is an urgent demand to upgrade students’ ability of applying language and cognition of Chinese cultural;secondly,diversified talent cultivation model should be created to export inter-disciplinary talents;thirdly,it is necessary to set on the structure of school-enterprise collaboration for education and facilitate the approach of talent employment,Based on the above conclusions and in-depth analysis of the causes of the plight,this study puts forward the following suggestions:Strengthening the all-round collaborative education mechanism to break through the difficulties in the operation of the mechanism;Improving the system of teacher construction and incentive to make up for the shortcomings of the system;Increasing the support of financial input and policy preference to eliminate the problem of resource allocation.Compared with previous related researches,the innovation of this research lies in the analysis,induction and comparison of two typical talent cultivation models of the Sinology Department in Poland through empirical investigations and case studies,demonstrating teachers,students,graduates and employers’ recognition toward talent cultivation model.Therefore,this research has made breakthrough attempts in three aspects,such as the diversity of perspectives,the systematicness of the content,and the flexibility of the methods,to provide useful revelations for improving the talent cultivation model of Sinology Department.
