Nowadays,China is in the stage of rapid economic development,in this process,innovation plays a crucial role,in order to ensure that China does not occupy a disadvantage in the international competition,more and more attention to the construction of innovation system.As a part of innovation system,scientific and technological innovation occupies a very important position in the field of national innovation.Medical colleges and universities shoulder the important mission of knowledge dissemination,scientific and technological development and medical personnel training.They are the pillar of China’s scientific and technological innovation system,and play a vital role in promoting economic development,social progress and safeguarding human health.Although the scientific and technological innovation ability of medical colleges and universities has improved in recent years,there is still a big gap between them and universities with high level of scientific and technological innovation.Therefore,this article based on the data of 70 medical universities of our country,by using the vector autoregressive(VAR)model from the innovation investment,science and technology base and the connection strength between colleges from three aspects to study these factors impact on the medicine science and technology innovation ability of colleges and universities has carried on the empirical analysis: For time series cointegration test to determine whether there is a long-term co-integration relationship between variables;Granger causality test is conducted on all variables to study the causality and interaction between variables.From the impulse response function of influencing factors to innovation capability,the magnitude and direction of these factors’ effect on innovation capability are analyzed.The variance decomposition of innovation ability is used to analyze the explanatory strength of each factor to innovation ability so as to judge the main influencing factors of scientific and technological innovation in medical colleges and universities.The research content of this paper is mainly composed of the following five parts: Chapter one mainly introduces the research background,research significance and research framework of this paper,and summarizes relevant domestic and foreign literature;The second chapter elaborates and defines the relevant theories and basic concepts involved in this paper.The third chapter analyzes the status quo of scientific and technological innovation activities of medical universities and other types of universities in China and makes a comparative analysis.The fourth chapter conducts an empirical study on the factors influencing scientific and technological innovation of medical universities based on VAR model.The fifth chapter summarizes the previous research results and gives relevant policy suggestions.The research conclusions are as follows :(1)the innovation ability of medical colleges and universities in China is on the rise,but there is still a certain gap with engineering and science colleges and universities.(2)science and technology foundation is the key factor to improve the scientific and technological innovation ability of medical colleges and universities.(3)innovation investment is conducive to the improvement of scientific and technological innovation ability of medical colleges and universities.(4)The strength of university-industry connection has a slight negative effect on the scientific and technological innovation of medical colleges and universities.The strength of university-industry connection is low in medical colleges and universities,and the current strength of university-industry connection cannot meet the conditions of improving the innovation ability to a higher level.Finally,this article through empirical analysis found that medical science and technology,science and technology innovation activities in colleges and universities manpower shortage,the brain drain,problems such as weak coupling strength between colleges of science and technology,suggest that medical universities should increase the introduction of scientific and technological personnel,through various welfare conditions increase talents and viscosity between universities,seeking university-enterprise cooperation mode and mechanism innovation,establish a joint research and development center,for example,Carry out new talent training mode,and stimulate the promotion of school-enterprise cooperation.
