An Empirical Study On Physicians’ Willingness To Use Telemedicine Systems And Its Influencing Factors On An Extended UTAUT Model

[Purpose]This paper constructs a model of doctors’ use of telemedicine system,investigates the influencing factors and regulatory effects of doctors’ use of telemedicine system,so as to put forward effective countermeasures and suggestions,provide reference for promoting the development of telemedicine and the construction of hierarchical diagnosis and treatment,and enrich the relevant research of Technology Acceptance Model in the field of telemedicine..[Methods]Based on the literature review and the actual situation of telemedicine system,this study constructed an extended model based on the unified theory of acceptance and use of Technology(UTAUT),studied the influencing factors of doctors’ telemedicine system use,and designed a questionnaire.A total of 119 valid questionnaire data were collected by electronic questionnaire,using SPSS24 0,and then use the method of partial least squares structural equation model(PLS)and Smartpls3.0 analyzed the reliability,validity,multicollinearity and common method bias of the measurement model,and tested the prediction ability,hypothesis test and adjustment effect of the model.[Results]Descriptive statistics show that the mean scores of use willingness and use behavior ranged from 4.02 to 4.19,indicating that doctors preferred to actively use telemedicine system.The test results show that the scale has good reliability and validity,and is not affected by multicollinearity and there is no common method deviation.The results of empirical analysis show that the factors that positively affect the willingness to use telemedicine system include Performance Expectancy(β=0.275,P<0.001),Social Influence(β=0.200,P < 0.01),Habits(β=0.337,P < 0.001),and Perceived Security(β=0.284,P<0.001),the factors that positively affect the use behavior of the doctors include Facilitating Conditions(β=0.305,P<0.001)and use willingness(β=0.654,P<0.001).Moreover,the level of medical institution of doctors positively moderats the effect of Perceived Security on use willingness(P<0.001),indicating that with the improvement of the level of medical institutions,doctors’ perception of the security and privacy protection of telemedicine system is more likely to affect their willingness to use telemedicine.[Conclusion]In view of the factors affecting doctors’ use of telemedicine system,the following suggestions are put forward:(1)improve the management of telemedicine system and improve the telemedicine supervision system;(2)Promote inter agency exchanges in the use of telemedicine systems and create a good social atmosphere;(3)Strengthen the software and hardware construction of grass-roots medical institutions and remove the obstacles to the development of telemedicine;(4)Increase the security protection of telemedicine information and reduce doctors’ risk perception.
