Abstract/Summary:
Objective(s): The aim of this study was to explore the clinical effects and application value of the modified Danggui Shaoyao Powder in the treatment of mass-stage nonpuerperal mastitis.Method(s): We collected data of nonpuerperal mastitis patients with mass-stage treatment admitted in the Guilin Women’s and Children’s Hospital from January 2019 to March 2022.All patients received standard anti-infective therapies and hormone therapies combined with conventional mammary duct perfusion.Patients were divided into two groups according to the attendance of modified Danggui Shaoyao Powder.Patients treated by modified Danggui Shaoyao Powder were assigned to the experiment group, while patients without modified Danggui Shaoyao Powder treatment were assigned to the control group.According to the inclusion and exclusion criteria,35 experiment cases and 43 control cases were included.Clinical efficacy, level of leukocyte(WBC),C-reactive protein(CRP),erythrocyte settlement rate(ESR),and neutrophil percentage(NEUT%),size of breast lump size, scores of pain, scores of TCM clinical symptoms and length of hospitalization were compared between the two groups.Statistical analysis were conducted using the SPSS26.0 software.Result(s): 1.After treatment, the overall clinical efficacy rates in the experiment group were 91.43 %,significantly higher than the rates in the control group(72.09 %,P<0.05).2.The size of the affected mass area was improved after treatment, and the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).3.After treatment, the total TCM clinical symptom scores of the experiment group were significantly lower than the control group(P < 0.05).4.After treatment, the length of hospitalization in the experiment group was significantly shorter than the control group(P <0.05).5.After treatment, the incidence of complications in the control group was6.98%,and the incidence of complications in the experiment group was 2.86%(P > 0.05).6.After treatment, the VAS scores of the two groups were significantly decreased, and the VAS scores of the experiment group were significantly lower than those of the control group after treatment(P <0.05).7.The WBC,CRP,and NEUT% of patients in both groups were improved after treatment, these parameters of patients in the experiment group were significantly better than those in the control group after treatment, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The differences between the two groups before and after ESR treatment were not statistically significant(P >0.05).Conclusion(s): In this study, the treatment of the modified Danggui Shaoyao Powder was applied to treat nonpuerperal mastitis patients in the mass stage. The total clinical efficacy and the total score of clinical symptoms of TCM were significantly improved compared with the patients without the treatment of the modified Danggui Shaoyao Powder. The percentage of leukocytes,C-reactive protein and neutrophils decreased significantly, the local inflammatory reaction was controlled and the mass decreased. It can effectively relieve the pain of the patient and shorten the hospitalization of the patient. Moreover, the treatment plan of adding Chinese herbal medicine supplemented with the modified Danggui Shaoyao Powder has certain effectiveness and is worthy of clinical promotion.
