Liu Weizhongs Clinical Experience In The Treatment Of Insomnia And The Study Of Medication Rules

Insomnia is both a common clinical condition and a common accompanying symptom.Our mentor,Director Liu weizhong,has long focused on research on preventing and treating insomnia in Chinese medicine and has developed a wealth of clinical experience.Based on the clinically effective cases of insomnia treated by Director Liu weizhong,this study reveals new relationships,trends,and patterns between prescriptions and medicines through the analysis of a large amount of data,and explores and summarizes the academic thoughts of Director Liu weizhong treatment of insomnia,such as the rules of prescriptions and medicines and the ideas of theory,method,prescription,and medicine.Objective : To explore the rules of medication and treatment ideas of Director Liu weizhong in the treatment of insomnia based on data mining technology,to inherit and carry forward his academic thinking,in the hope of providing relevant basis and reference for the clinical treatment of insomnia medication.Method : We systematically summarized the clinical experience of Director Liu weizhong in the prevention and treatment of insomnia by following the clinic,compiled clinical cases,entered patients’ treatment information using "Excel 2017",established a database,and used the "TCM inheritance computing platform V3.0 " The four diagnostic information and evidence distribution of insomnia patients were mined,and the four qi and five tastes,the generalization,frequency distribution,efficacy categorization,and core drug combinations of the drugs prescribed in the study cases were analyzed to explore the characteristics of the prescriptions of Director Liu weizhong for insomnia.Result:1.Director Liu weizhong believes that the basic pathogenesis of insomnia is the disharmony of internal organs and the imbalance of yin and yang,and that blood stasis and liver depression are both pathogenic factors and pathological products.The prevention and treatment of insomnia are based on the core pathogenesis,with TCM as the mainstay,together with the regulation of emotion and spirit and appropriate TCM techniques,with good clinical effects.A total of 521 patients with a total of 521 first prescriptions were collected in this study.Data mining using software revealed that.(1)The age of onset of patients was mainly concentrated in 26—55 years old,accounting for 67.2% of the total number of cases,while the incidence of insomnia was higher in women than in men.(2)Six types of symptoms were extracted,with heart and spleen deficiency(24.95%)being the most common,followed by blood stasis(22.65%),spleen and stomach disharmony(18.04%),liver depression and qi stagnation(17.66%),heart and kidney yin deficiency(10.56%)and heart and kidney yang deficiency(6.14%).(3)A total of 169 herbal medicines were involved,and the top 15 most frequent ones wer e: Shou Wu-Tang,Amber,Mother of Pearl,Yuan Zhi,Chai Hu,Chuan Xiong,Fu Ling,Chic ken Nei Jin,Angelica Sinensis,Huang Lian,Astragalus,Chen Pi,Radix Codonopsis,Rhizom a Atractylodis Macrocephalae,and Radix Panax notoginseng in that order.The efficacy of the drug is mainly to tonic deficiency drugs,the four qi are mainly warm(36.95%)and flat(30.78%),the five tastes are mostly sweet,bitter,and pungent,and the drug is most often attributed to the heart,spleen,and liver meridians.The highest frequency of commonly used 2-flavored drug combinations is: "Shou Wu Vine,Amber";the highest frequency of 3-flavored drug com binations is: "Shou Wu Vine,Amber,Mother of Pearl";the highest frequency of 4-flavored dr ug combinations is: "Shou Wu Vine,Amber,Mother of Pearl.mother-of-pearl,and farinaceou s.After cluster analysis,the six groups of core drug conbinations were:(1)Shou Wu Tang＿Por ia＿Amber＿Far Zhi＿Dang Gui＿Mother of Pearl＿Chai Hu;(2)Shou Wu Tang＿Amber＿Chai Hu＿Huang Lian＿Poria＿Gan Cao＿Dang Ginseng＿Chuanxiong;(3)Chuanxiong＿Shou Wu Tang＿Am ber＿Dang Gui＿Mother of Pearl＿Far Zhi＿Niu Knee＿Peach kernel;(4)Shou Wu Tang＿Amber＿Mother of Pearl＿Chai Hu＿Far Zhi＿Chen Pi＿Huang Lian＿Gui Zhi;(5)Shou Wu Tang＿Mother o f Pearl＿Chaihu＿Amber＿Glycyrrhiza＿Danggui＿Poria＿Chuanxiong;(6)Danggui＿Poria＿Chuanx iong＿Chaihu＿Shouwu＿Tong＿Amber＿Mother＿Pearl＿Cock’s Nuts.Conclusion:(1)The unique academic thinking of Director Liu weizhong in the diagnosis and treatment of insomnia has been applied to clinical practice with good results.Director Liu weizhong believes that the pathogenesis of insomnia is mostly due to disharmony of internal organs and imbalance of yin and yang,with blood stasis and liver depression.The clinical treatment focuses on both deficiency and actuality and is based on the core pathogenesis,with the principle of "harmonizing the internal organs",focusing on the strengths of Chinese medicine,the four diagnoses together,and the treatment of evidence.(2)The present study was conducted by data mining with the help of the TCM inheritance computing platform,which truly reflects the prescription pattern of Director Liu weizhong treatment of insomnia,and objectively verifies that Director Liu weizhong pays attention to the regulation of internal organs,combining the combination of supplementation of deficiency and diarrhea,and also takes into account the regulation of emotion and will.(3)Data mining technology can systematically analyze the rules and diagnosis and treatment characteristics of famous and old Chinese medicine from multiple angles,which is conducive to the inheritance and development of Chinese medicine,and is worthy of further promotion and application.
