Objective: The content of total flavonoids in different parts of Suaeda salsa(L.)Pall.was determined to provide a theoretical basis for precise drug use.To elucidate the chemical constituents of S.salsa.To establish a network pharmacological targeting pathway for Suaeda salsa to treat food accumulation. To verify the effect of S.salsa on food accumulation syndrome. Methods: The content of total flavonoids in the stems, leaves, and seeds of Suaeda salsa was calculated by ultraviolet-visible spectrophotometry(UV-Vis)with the standard curve of the rutin reference substance. The chemical composition was studied by chromatography and nuclear magnetic resonance(NMR).The network pharmacology research was carried out by using the network database and the Cytoscape software. The effect of Suaeda salsa on digestion was verified by establishing a mouse food production model. Results: The content of total flavonoids in different plant parts of Suaeda salsa was determined. The structures of 15 chemical constituents from Suaeda salsa were identified and the systematic and comprehensive structure assignment of the compounds was carried out for the first time. These compounds are Luteolin-7-O-β-D-glucuronide,Isorhamnetin,Luteolin-3’-D-glucuronide,Baicalein,Quercetin-3-O-β-D-glucuronide 、 Syringaresinol-4-O-β-D-glucopyranoside,Syringaresinol,Syringin,Luteolin,Naringenin,Hesperetin,Taxifolin,Syringic acid,Scopoletin, and Isorhamnetin.the pharmacology-related targeted pathway of Suaeda salsa and food accumulation syndrome network have been established. The crude extract of Suaeda salsa has a good effect on the syndrome of food accumulation caused by a high-protein diet. Conclusion: The stems, leaves, and seeds of Suaeda salsa contain flavonoids. The study on the structure of chemical constituents in Suaeda salsa improved the structure attribution and laid an experimental basis for the study on phenylpropanoid and flavonoids in Suaeda salsa. The study of network pharmacology provides ideas for the study of pharmacology and related mechanisms of treating food accumulation syndrome. The study on the activity of Suaeda salsa has proved its role in digestion, which provides a theoretical basis for further research.
