Objective: Retrospective analysis of the differences in the efficacy of hollow lag screws in the fixation of internal malleolus fractures according to Herscovici classification B.Methods: Collect clinical data of 45 cases of internal ankle fractures classified as B by Herscovici who were treated at the First People’s Hospital of Yunnan Province from 2018 to2022,Patient follow-up for 12 months after surgery,Score according to the American Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Association(AOFAS)scoring system.Results: 40 cases were followed up,90% excellent and good rate of postoperative 6-month follow-up(AOFAS)score;The excellent and good rate of postoperative follow-up 12months(AOFAS)score is 92.5%;Full weight bearing time was 10-15 weeks,Average 12.2weeksConclusions: Both single screw internal fixation and two lag screws internal fixation have positive effects on the treatment of Herscovici type B internal ankle fractures,Using single fixation and double lag screws to fix type B internal ankle fractures,There was no statistically significant difference in the patient’s complete weight-bearing time and 6-month and 12-month prognosis.
