1 ObjectiveThe aim of this study was to analyze the data of the treatment of closed reduction and internal fixation with hollow screws combined with minimally invasive bone grafting for Sanders type?or ? calcaneus fractures to search the clinical effect of using this method in the treatment of calcaneus fractures. The syudy provides basis for clinical application through using technique closed reduction and internal fixation with hollow screws combined with minimally invasive bone grafting for Sanders ? or Sanders ? calcaneus fractures.2 MethodsAll calcaneal fractures treated between February 2013 and March 2013 had be perform. 30 were selected randomly as matched group who treated with ORIF(open reduction and internal fixation);30 via closed reduction and internal fixation with hollow screws combined with minimally invasive bone grafting. All 60 fractures of the charts, imaging results, wound healing complications, the need for further surgery were thoroughly reviewed during the study period. In Addition, all patients were contacted to return for a follow-up that included clinical examination, radiography and MFS(Maryland Foot Score).3 ResultsThere was no statistically significant difference between the CRIF group and the ORIF group on Maryland Foot Score, Bohler angle, Gissane angle and Perie angle. But,the operation time and the amount of operative bleeding, wound complication in the CRIF group was significantly lower than the ORIF group.4 ConclusionClinical results were similar between Sanders type?or ? calcaneal fractures treated with the closed reduction and internal fixation with hollow screws combined with minimally invasive bone grafting compared with open reduction and internal fixation. However, the closed reduction and internal fixation with hollow screws combined with minimally invasive bone grafting had a significantly lower incidence of wound, operation time and the amount of operative bleeding, wound complication. The treatment of closed reduction and multiway fixation with hollow screws for Sanders type ?or ? fracture of calcaneus has advantages of little trauma, provide rigid fixation, short hospitalization time, cheap, easy removal and so on. It can be widely applied in clinical practice. |
