Objective: To investigate the correlation between FAR,NLR,CRP,IL-6 and acute ischemic stroke and their short-term prognosis. Methods: One hundred and ninety-seven patients diagnosed with acute ischemic stroke(AIS)in the Department of Neurology of the First Affiliated Hospital of Xinjiang Medical University between January 2021 and April 2022 were selected, and general data, peripheral blood-related indexes such as FAR,NLR,CRP and IL-6 were collected within 48 hours of onset. The patients were divided into light stroke group(≤ 5 points)and moderate to heavy stroke group(>5 points)according to the NIHSS score at the time of admission. The group was divided into good prognosis group(≤2 points)and poor prognosis group(>2 points)according to the m RS score after 1 month.Multi-factor logistic regression was used to analyze the risk factors affecting the severity and short-term prognosis of acute ischemic stroke,to draw the subject operating characteristic curve(ROC curve),and to calculate the area under the curve,95% CI,critical value and its sensitivity and specificity for each peripheral blood-related index to predict the severity and short-term prognosis of acute ischemic stroke.Results:(1)Among 197 patients,103(53.38%)were in the light stroke group,94(47.73%)were in the moderate-heavy stroke group,129(65.48%)were in the good prognosis group, and 68(34.52%)were in the poor prognosis group.(2)In the medium and heavy stroke group, the levels of FAR,NLR,CRP and IL-6 were higher than those in the light stroke group(P < 0.05).The area under the curve of NLR for acute ischemic stroke severity was 0.769(95% CI: 0.702-0.835),with a sensitivity specificity of 69.1%and 75.7%,respectively.The area under the curve for predicting the severity of acute ischemic stroke was 0.638(95% CI: 0.560-0.715),and the sensitivity and specificity of prediction were 60.6% and 66.02%,respectively.(3)The area under the curve of FAR for predicting short-term prognosis of acute ischemic stroke was 0.768(95% CI:0.700-0.837),with a sensitivity specificity of 76.6% and 70.5%,respectively.The area under the curve for CRP predicted short-term prognosis of acute ischemic stroke was0.685(95% CI: 0.607-0.762),and the sensitivity and specificity of prediction were 76.4%and 57.3%,respectively.Conclusion: FAR,NLR,and CRP are risk factors affecting the severity of acute ischemic stroke and its short-term prognosis. The area under the FAR prediction curve and the sensitivity specificity were the highest, indicating that FAR may have a higher value than NLR,CRP,and IL-6 in predicting moderate to severe stroke and poor short-term prognosis at 1 month.
