| Objective:To explore the effect of proprioceptive function training on ankle stability and balance function in elderly patients with functional ankle instability. Methods:Fifty six elderly patients with functional ankle instability who met the diagnostic criteria were selected and divided into treatment group and control group according to the time sequence of treatment. Each group had 28 patients. The control group received muscle strength training around the ankle. The treatment group added proprioceptive function training on the basis of the control group, five times a week for a total of nine weeks. Before training,at 5 weeks of training and at 9 weeks of training, the stability change of the ankle joint of the subjects was evaluated with the Cumberland ankle instability questionnaire(CAIT),and the confidence level change of not falling was evaluated with the revised fall efficacy scale(MFES).The BIOflex FP posture control training system evaluated the change of the total length of the center of gravity trajectory and the rectangular area of the center of gravity trajectory of the subjects under the conditions of open eyes, closed eyes, open eyes + cushion, and closed eyes + cushion. Results:Before training, there was no significant difference between the two groups(P >0.05);After 5 weeks of training, there was no significant difference between the two groups(P > 0.05);After 9 weeks of training, the CAIT and MFEs scores, the total length of the center of gravity trajectory and the rectangular area of the center of gravity trajectory in the treatment group under the conditions of open eyes, closed eyes, open eyes + cushion were significantly better than those in the control group(P < 0.05);In the treatment group, after 5 weeks of training,CAIT,MFES scores, the total length of the center of gravity trajectory and the rectangular area of the center of gravity trajectory under the conditions of open eyes, closed eyes, open eyes + cushion were improved compared with those before training, and the difference was statistically significant(P <0.05);In the control group, after 5 weeks of training, the CAIT,MFES scores, the total length of the center of gravity trajectory and the rectangular area of the center of gravity trajectory under the conditions of open eyes, closed eyes, open eyes + cushion had no statistical difference compared with those before training(P > 0.05),but there was a tendency to improve; After 9 weeks of training, the CAIT,MFES scores, the total length of the center of gravity trajectory and the rectangular area of the center of gravity trajectory in the open, closed, open + cushion states of the two groups were significantly improved compared with those before training, and the differences were statistically significant(P < 0.05).Conclusion:Proprioception function training can improve the ankle function and balance ability of the elderly with functional ankle instability, increase confidence in not falling, and improve the rehabilitation effect. |
