ObjectiveTo investigate the effect of lower extremity kinematic chain training on the rehabilitation of patients with functional ankle instability(FAI).MethodsThe 40 patients with functional ankle instability were randomly divided into two groups, the control group and the treatment group, with 20 people in each group.Guide the patient’s functional training, the control group received conventional ankle training, that is,ankle muscle strength training and proprioceptive training;the treatment group combined with the lower limb kinematic chain training on the basis of conventional ankle training, that is,sitting knee extension training, hip outside Stretching and extensor muscle training, stationary bicycle training.Train 3 times a week for 6 weeks.Changes in Cumberland Ankle Instability(CAIT)Score,Star Offset Balance Test(SEBT),One-Leg Standing Test(OLST),and hip and knee muscle strength changes before and after treatment.ResultsThere was no significant difference in Cumberland’s ankle instability(CAIT)score, star shift balance test(SEBT),one-leg standing test(OLST),and hip and knee muscle strength before functional training. After the end of the training cycle, the results of the control group and the treatment group in terms of ankle instability score, star shift balance test, and one-leg standing test were better than before training, with very significant differences(P<0.01),and the treatment The results of the group were better than the control group, with significant differences(P<0.05).The muscle strength of the hip and knee joint muscle groups in the treatment group was significantly higher than before training, and there was a significant difference(P<0.01),while the hip and knee muscle strength of the control group did not change significantly before and after training.ConclusionBoth lower limb kinematic chain training and regular ankle training can improve the stability of the ankle joint and improve the function of the ankle joint. The coordinated training of the lower extremity exercise chain has a significant advantage over conventional training in the functional rehabilitation of patients with functional ankle instability, and it can also strengthen the hip and knee muscles.
