| Objective: To observe and explore the clinical effect of Qihuang Tongluo prescription(QTP)combined with mecobalamin in type 2 diabetes peripheral neuropathy(DPN-2),the effectiveness and safety of the association were objectively evaluated, providing theoretical and clinical evidence for the treatment of DPN-2 with traditional Chinese medicine(TCM).Method: In this work, there are 64 patients meeting the requirements, who were respectively divided into control group and treatment group in virtue of the random number table, with 32 patients in each group.Firstly, basic treatment was done, where the treatment group was received QTP taken warmly after breakfast and dinner and Mecobalamin tablets, while the control group only being giving Mecobalamin tablets, with 0.5mg and 3 times/d,this study being consisted of 1 course for 4 weeks, and totaling 2 courses.Next, the blood glucose, blood lipids, blood rheological velocity,TCSS score, nerve conduction velocity, efficacy of TCM syndrome and TCM syndrome scores of the two were all recorded before and after treatment. After the treatment, the degree of improvement of TCM symptoms were analyzed, and the fact whether there are any hypoglycemia and adverse reactions being observed throughout the treatment. Finally, for patients with DPN-2 and qi-yin deficiency with blood stasis, the fact whether QTP combined with mecobalamin is safe was verified, the efficacy being evaluated.Result: After 8 weeks, compared with those before treatment, the levels of glucose and lipid and hemorheology(HR)relatively were lowered(P<0.05),where the blood sugar in the treatment group was much more significant than that in the control(P<0.05),while there not being significant difference between the blood lipid groups statistically(P>0.05).Compared with the control group,it was found that the decrease of whole blood high share and low share viscosity in HR of the treatment group were significantly improved between groups(P<0.05).In Neuro EMG,increase in motor conduction velocity of the two were displayed after treatment(P<0.05),where the change in the treatment group was larger than the control(P<0.05).For TCSS and TCM syndrome score,a decrease was respectively demonstrated in the two after 8 weeks,(P<0.05),in which the degree of reduction in the treatment group was more outstanding than the control(P<0.05).From efficacy of TCM syndrome, the total effective rate of the treatment and the control were 89.9% and 60.0%separately,the improvement of the treatment group was more remarkably significant than the control(P<0.05).Conclusion: QTP could replenish qi and activate blood, and activate meridians to stop pain, which combined with mecobalamin had the ability to improve nerve conduction velocity and reduce TCSS score, etc.,reducing neural damage. In addition, the clinical symptoms of TCM patients were effectively improved with QTP,better than the group with methylocobalamin alone.QTP associated with methylocobalamin was benifit for patients with DPN-2 and qi-yin deficiency with blood stasis, and there being the clinical safety of both via the test index. |
