Clinical Observation Of Sini Powder And Liujunzi Decoction In Treating Insomnia Of Liver Depression And Spleen Deficiency Type

Objective:To objectively evaluate the clinical efficacy of Sini Powder and Liujunzi Decoction in the treatment of insomnia of liver depression and spleen deficiency type,and to summarize the academic thought and clinical experience of my tutor Prof.Li Ji,in treating insomnia from the liver and spleen,in order to relieve the pain of insomnia patients of liver depression and spleen deficiency type.Methods:In this study,72 insomniacs(4 cases shedding)were selected,all meeting the criteria,and were randomly divided into test group and control group,with 34 cases in experimental group and 34 cases in control group.The experimental group was treated by Sini Powder and Liujunzi Decoction prescription,and the control group was treated with Jieyu Anshen granules,which is a Chinese patent medicine.The treatment course was 4 weeks.The changes of TCM syndrome scale score,PSQI scale score,ISI scale score and SPIEGEL scale score before and after treatment of the two groups were observed,and the differences of clinical efficacy between the two groups were recorded.IBM SPSS Statistics 25.0 software was used for statistical analysis to evaluate the therapeutic effect and safety.Results:1.Among the 72 enrolled patients,68 patients completed the whole experiment.2 patients shed in the experimental group and 2 patients shed in the control group,with a shedding rate of 5.5%≤10%.There were no significant differences in gender,age,course of disease,scores of all scales before treatment between the two groups(P>0.05).Two groups are comparable;2.After 4 weeks of treatment,the total score and the specific score of each factor in the two groups were decreased,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).These results indicated that the two treatments were effective in improving the TCM syndromes and clinical observation indexes of liver depression and spleen deficiency insomnia.3.After 4 weeks of treatment,the total scoree between the two groups was more advantageous in the experimental group than that in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).It indicated that the experimental group was better than the control group in improving the clinical symptoms of insomnia.The comparison between the two groups of each scale and each factor score shows that the improvement of some factors in the test group is better than that in the control group.For example,the experimental group had significant advantages in improving sleep condition and the syndrome of Distending pain in the chest and hypochondriac(P<0.01),have some advantages in loose stool discomfort,bowel sounds and flatus,abdominal pain tends to diarrhea,and pain reductions after diarrhea(P<0.05).4.After 4 weeks of treatment,(1)the effective rate in TCM syndrome showed that the total effective rate of the experimental group was 91.18%,and that of the control group was 70.59%,which showed statistical difference(P<0.05).(2)The effective rate of utilizing PSQI scale to evaluate sleep quality showed that the total effective rate of the experimental group was91.18%,and that of the control group was 73.53%,which showed statistical difference(P<0.01).(3)The effective rate of utilizing ISI scale to evaluate the improvement of insomnia severity showed that the total effective rate of the experimental group was 88.24%,and that of the control group was 70.59%,which showed statistical difference(P<0.05).(4)The total effective rate of utilizing SPIEGEL scale to evaluate clinical symptom improvement of patients of the experimental group was 85.29%,the that of the control group was 70.59%,which showed a statistical difference(P<0.05).These results showed that the experimental group had better clinical effect on insomnia than the control group.5.For the two groups,the changes of liver and kidney function and other indexes were within the normal range before and after treatment,and there were no obvious adverse reactions after treatment.Conclusion:1.Both Sini Powder and Liujunzi Decoction Formula and Chinese patent medicine Jieyuanshen Granules can improve the sleep disorder of insomnia patients with liver depression and spleen deficiency.2.Sini Powder and Liujunzi Decoction have more advantages than Chinese prescription medicine Jieyuanshen granules in improving TCM syndroms,Western clinical observation indexes and overall clinical observation in treating insomnia of liver depression and spleen deficiency type.
