| Objective: Patients with depressive disorder are often affected by low mood and have thoughts of pessimism, decadence, and inferiority, which greatly increases the risk of non-suicidal self-injury.In addition,it remains to be shown whether thyrotropin and lipid levels, which are associated with depression, are also associated with non-suicidal self-injury.This multicenter cross-sectional study aimed to explore the risk factors of non-suicidal self-injury in adolescents with depression, and to clarify the relationship between thyroid-stimulating hormone(TSH),blood lipid levels and non-suicidal self-injury.Methods: From September 2021 to September 2022,adolescent patients with depressive disorder who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria in the outpatient and inpatient departments of Chaohu Hospital Affiliated to Anhui Medical University and the Second Affiliated Hospital of Anhui Medical University were enrolled.According to whether they were accompanied by non-suicidal self-injury,they were divided into non-suicidal self-injury group and non-suicidal self-injury group. We used a selfmade depression case record form to collect social demographic data, and then doctors supplemented the required clinical information. The Center for Epidemiologic Studies Depression Scale(CES-D),Childhood Trauma Questionnaire(CTQ),Internet Addiction Scale(IAT)and other self-rating scales were used to assess the patient’s experience and lifestyle.Chi-square test,Fisher’s exact test,t test and Mann-Whitney rank sum test were used to compare the characteristics between the two groups.Univariate and multivariate logistic regression were used to explore the independent risk factors for non-suicidal self-injury in adolescents with depressive disorder. Finally,Sperman correlation analysis was used to test the correlation between thyroidstimulating hormone and blood lipid levels and various mental disorders. Results: Compared with the non-suicidal self-injury group, the non-suicidal selfinjury group had a higher score of emotional neglect and a higher proportion of insomnia disorder. No significant differences were observed in other characteristics between the two groups.Emotional neglect in childhood trauma(P=0.016,OR=1.107,95%CI: 1.016-1.224)and insomnia(P=0.021,OR=6.581,95%CI: 1.328-32.606)were independent risk factors for non-suicidal self-injury in adolescents with depressive disorder. There was no statistically significant correlation between thyroid stimulating hormone and blood lipid levels(TC,TG,HDL-C,LDL-C)and childhood trauma, insomnia,Internet addiction, depressive disorder, suicidal ideation. Conclusion: In this multicenter cross-sectional study,we found that adolescent MDD patients are more likely to suffer from both sleep disorders and suicidal ideation, which should be paid more attention to in daily life and clinical treatment.Higher scores of emotional neglect and insomnia are independent risk factors for NSSI behaviors in adolescent MDD patients.Adolescent MDD patients with emotional neglect and insomnia should be actively intervened to prevent the occurrence of NSSI behaviors and protect the life, health and safety of patients. |
