| Objective:This study is based on the holistic concept of traditional Chinese medicine,syndrome differentiation and treatment.The guiding ideology is to strengthen the foundation.Considering the characteristics of the disease and the physiopathology of children,we chose the treatment method of Pei Tu Sheng Jin.In this paper,we established a self-developed Pei Tu Sheng Jin formula for the treatment of children with asthmatic bronchitis in remission from lung and spleen qi deficiency syndrome.The study evaluated the efficacy mainly from the aspects of TCM syndrome score,T cell subsets,tidal lung function and the occurrence of adverse reactions.To explore whether it has advantages in clinical efficacy compared with nebulizer treatment alone,and explored the characteristics and mechanism of action of its formula to provide new ideas and methods for clinical treatment of asthmatic bronchitis in infants and children.Methods:Sixty children with asthmatic bronchitis and Previous wheezing≥3 times admitted to the pediatric outpatient and inpatient departments of Wuhu Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from July 2021 to July 2022 were collected and convalescent with syndrome of lung-spleen qi deficiency after routine treatment.Random number table method was used to divide the control group and treatment group.The control group was treated with Pulmicortinol nebulizer,and the treatment group was treated with Pei Tu Sheng Jin Formula on top of the control group.The course of treatment is 1 month.Information on the general condition,relevant symptoms and laboratory tests of the children was collected at the time of enrollment and at the end of treatment,and the relevant symptoms and number of wheezing recurrence cases were collected and transformed into data after 2 months of follow-up.The data of the two groups were analyzed using statistical software to evaluate the differences in the efficacy of the treatment methods between the two groups.Results:(1)The total effective rate of the treatment group reached 90.00%,and the total effective rate of the control group was 83.33%(P<0.05).The total effective rate at the end of follow-up was 93.33%in the treatment group and 86.67%in the control group(P<0.05),indicating that Pei Tu Sheng Jin formula combined with Western medicine had better therapeutic effect.(2)In terms of TCM syndrome score evaluation:(1)The overall symptoms of the children in both groups improved before and after treatment and during the follow-up period(P<0.05),and the efficacy of the treatment group was better than that of the control group(P<0.05).(2)After treatment,the primary and secondary symptom scores of both groups improved(P<0.05),and the treatment group was more effective than the control group in terms of the primary symptom scores of cough and sputum,and the secondary symptom scores of facial color,poor appetite,and fatigue(P<0.05).(3)In the follow-up period,there was still improvement in the primary and secondary symptoms in the treatment group compared with those before treatment(P<0.05);in the control group,there was no improvement in the secondary symptoms of shortness of breath and sleep(P>0.05),but the rest of the symptoms improved(P<0.05).The treatment group had better efficacy than the control group in the main symptoms of coughing and wheezing,and the secondary symptoms of shortness of breath,poor appetite and sleep(P<0.05).(3)On the changes of laboratory indicators before and after treatment in both groups:CD4~+,CD8~+,CD4~+/CD8~+,TPTEF/TE and VPEF/VE improved in both groups after treatment(P<0.05).The modulation of CD4~+,CD4~+/CD8~+,TPTEF/TE and VPEF/VE was better in the treatment group than in the control group at the end of treatment(P<0.05).(4)The rate of acute episodes of wheezing was 3.33%in the treated group and26.67%in the control group at the end of follow-up,and the rate of acute episodes of wheezing was lower in the treated group than in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusions:Compared with the nebulization of Pramipexole alone,Pei Tu Sheng Jin Formula combined with Pramipexole nebulization can significantly improve the clinical efficacy,reduce the number of wheezing episodes and improve the lung function of children with lung spleen deficiency evidence during the remission period of asthmatic bronchitis.The mechanism of action may be to regulate the immune function of the children. |
