Purpose:To investigate the compliance of patients with hepatolenticular degeneration taking Chinese and Western medicines, and analyze its related influencing factors, and explore the chronic disease management measures of patients with hepatolenticular degeneration,so as to provide reference for clinical intervention of patients with low compliance.Method:In this study,220 patients with hepatolenticular degeneration who were hospitalized in the Department of Encephalopathy of Anhui Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January 2021 to December 2021 were selected as follow-up subjects. The demographic and sociological information and disease-related information of patients were collected. The time of discharge of patients was taken as the starting point, and the data of medication taking, medication compliance, medication knowledge and medication belief of patients were followed up in person or by telephone at 1 year after discharge.SPSS23.0 statistical software was used for statistical analysis of the collected data.Results:1.A total of 220 patients with hepatolenticular degeneration were interviewed in this study, and 204 valid questionnaires were collected. The average score of compliance with Chinese and Western medicines in patients with hepatolenticular degeneration was(4.97±1.84),including 19 patients with high compliance level(9.31%)and 48 patients with medium compliance level(23.53%).There were 137 cases(67.16%)with poor compliance.2.The reasons for poor medication compliance included 51 cases(37.23%)of patients who thought their symptoms had been relieved,30 cases(21.90%)of patients who missed medication due to forgetting,22 cases(16.06%)of patients with economic pressure,12 cases(8.76%)of patients who believed/consciously that treatment was ineffective,10 cases(7.30%)of patients with inconvenient drug purchase/taking,and 9cases(6)of patients with adverse reactions.57%)and 3 other cases(2.19%).3.Univariate analysis showed that there were no statistically significant differences in gender, age, marriage, occupation, whether living alone, payment method, family history(with or without),first symptom, belief level, treatment plan, adverse reactions(with or without)among different compliance groups(P > 0.05).There were statistically significant differences in education level, family monthly income, course of disease, medication knowledge level and drug types(P < 0.05).Further Logistic regression analysis showed that monthly family income(OR=2.485,95%CI: 1.271-4.857),education level(OR=2.513,95%CI: 1.192-5.301),medication knowledge level(OR=3.292,95%CI: 1.511-7.171)and drug type(OR=0.492,95%CI: 0.252-0.958)were independent factors influencing patients’ medication compliance(P<0.05).Conclusion:1.The compliance of patients with hepatolenticular degeneration with Chinese and Western medicine needs to be improved, and patients believe that the main reason for poor compliance is that they stop taking medicine automatically after their symptoms have been relieved.2.Family monthly income, education level, drug types and drug use knowledge are independent factors influencing the compliance of TCM and Western medicine taking in patients with Wilson disease. The higher the family monthly income, drug use knowledge level, education level and drug use types, the higher the compliance level of patients.
