| Objective:The purpose of this study is to investigate the feasibility and effectiveness of arthroscopic knee joint debridement in conjunction with oral Weilingchubitan decoction for treating patients with knee osteoarthritis(liver and kidney deficiency type),by recording and analyzing VAS score,WOMAC score,Lsholm score,and IL-1β level.Method:Fifty patients with knee osteoarthritis of the liver and kidney deficiency type who were admitted to our hospital’s orthopedics department from January 2021 to December 2022 were collected.According to the random number table method,the patients were randomly divided into an experimental group and a control group,with 25 patients in each group.Arthroscopic knee joint debridement was performed on both groups,and after the surgery,basic treatment was administered to the control group while the experimental group received additional Weilingchubitan decoction orally.The efficacy of the two treatment plans was evaluated by measuring and recording the VAS score,WOMAC score,Lsholm score,and IL-1β level before surgery,as well as 1,2,and4 weeks after surgery using statistical methods.Results:1.In this study,a statistical analysis was performed on two groups of patients prior to treatment.The results indicated no significant differences between the two groups in terms of gender,laterality,age,disease duration,VAS score,WOMAC score,Lsholm score,and IL-1β level(P>0.05),demonstrating the randomization and comparability of the two groups.2.Both groups of patients showed a statistically significant decrease in VAS pain scores compared to pre-operation during post-operation follow-ups at various time points(P<0.05).Similarly,there was a statistically significant decrease in WOMAC functional scores and a statistically significant increase in Lsholm scores during post-operation follow-ups at various time points when compared to pre-operation(P<0.05).Additionally,there was a statistically significant decrease in IL-1β levels during post-operation followups at various time points compared to pre-operation(P<0.05).During the first,second,and fourth weeks after the operation,group comparisons between the experimental group and the control group revealed significant statistical differences in WOMAC scores,Lsholm scores,and IL-1β levels(P < 0.05),with the experimental group performing better than the control group.Conclusion:The combination of basic treatment and oral administration of Weiling Chubi decoction after arthroscopic knee joint lavage can significantly alleviate postoperative knee pain and improve knee joint function.This treatment not only brings significant clinical efficacy,but also has certain promotion value,which is worthy of further clinical research and promotion. |
