Objective: We established the model of adjacent surface deglazing, formed early caries by artificial caries, used bioactive glass, permeable resin and Duraphat to act on the enamel early caries, took images by quantitative light-induced fluorescence, monitored the relevant data, observed the ultrastructure of enamel surface by scanning electron microscope and analyzed the trace elements by energy dispersive spectrometer, explored the effect of combined application of bioactive glass and permeable resin on remineralization and treatment of enamel early caries after adjacent surface deglazing, and provided theoretical basis for the treatment of orthodontic adjacent surface deglazing after early caries. Methods: Fifty premolar teeth were collected, and the enamel on both sides of the proximal and distal middle of the crown was evenly abraded and polished with polishing abrasive strips to remove 0.4 mm on each side.each tooth was divided into two specimens from the buccolingual direction, after which 100 specimens were obtained,.The specimens were randomly divided into blank control group, bioactive glass group, infiltrative resin group, bioactive glass combined with infiltrative resin group, and Duraphat group, with 20 specimens in each group. Each group was subjected to demineralization artificial caries inducing experiment, coated with corresponding materials and simulated human oral conditions for 28 days in vitro. The fluorescence images of each group were taken and △F(extent of lesion area),Area(area of diseased area),and △Q(total fluorescence loss)were monitored and collected on the 7th,14 th,21st,and 28 th days after demineralization using the quantitative light-induced fluorescence;the ultrastructural changes of enamel surface at each time point of each group were observed under the scanning electron microscope and the changes of trace elements on the de-enamelized surface were analyzed by energy dispersive spectroscopy. Results:The images were taken and the data were analyzed by the quantitative light-induced fluorescence to monitor the corresponding time points, and the fluorescence pictures showed that the dark shadow area of the lesion area was reduced, and the △F,Area, and △Q values of each group decreased with the increase of time.On day 28,the difference between the △F,Area, and △Q values of the combined group and the other four groups was not statistically significant, and the mean value was the smallest;the combined group had less remaining lesion area than the other four groups.Scanning electron microscope revealed that the enamel surface of all groups changed over time, and on day 28 it was found that the crystals formed on the enamel surface adjacent to the surface of the enamel in the other three groups were deposited with the enamel surface except for the blank control group and the infiltrating resin group;the joint group saw that the enamel surface pores were almost completely covered, with a dense texture and a nearly smooth surface.Energy dispersive spectrometer software analysis showed that the Ca,P ratio on the surface of the adjacent enamel in the combined group was closest to that of normal human enamel.Conclusions:(1)Different materials treating the early caries of enamel after adjacent surface de-enamelization have different effects on promoting enamel remineralization and treatment, and the bioactive glass combined with penetrating resin has the best effect on promoting remineralization and treatment of early caries of de-enamelized surface compared with bioactive glass, penetrating resin and Duraphat alone.(2)Bioactive glass combined with penetrating resin can play a synergistic role in remineralization and treatment of early caries on adjacent surface de-enamelized enamel.
