Objective:This article explores the impact of hypothyroidism on the development of hypertensive disorders in pregnancy by analysing the correlation between hypothyroidism and hypertensive disorders in pregnancy(HDP)and the maternal and infant outcomes of hypothyroidism, and further explores the relationship between hypothyroidism and HDP in pregnancy and the impact of hypothyroidism on maternal and infant outcomes. Methods:Studies in the literature since the establishment of the database were searched for relevance in Chinese or English by searching the databases such as Zhiwang,Wipu,Wanfang,Sino Med,Pubmed and Web of Science. The quality of the final included literature was assessed by applying the Newcastle-Ottawa Scale(NOS scale),and relevant data were extracted from the literature according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria and Meta-analysis was performed using Rev Man 5.4 software. Results:Finally 25 studies in the literature were included, all cohort studies or cas e-control studies;the experimental group were all pregnant women with hypoth yroidism in pregnancy,3641 in total, and the control group were pregnant wo men with normal thyroid function,17460 in total. The analysis of the results s howed that:1、more cases of hypertensive disorders of pregnancy and a higher inciden ce of hypertensive disorders of pregnancy in the experimental group(OR=2.57,95%CI=[2.19,3.03],p<0.00001)when comparing hypothyroid pregnant women i n the experimental group with healthy pregnant women in the control group;2、adverse pregnancy outcomes: gestational diabetes(OR=2.15,95% CI=[1.26,3.66],P<0.005);preterm birth(OR=2.00,95% CI=[1.66,2.43],P<0.00001),p ostpartum haemorrhage(OR=2.83,95% CI=[1.75,4.60],P<0.0001),miscarriage(OR=1.97,95%CI=[1.56,2.48],P<0.00001),intrauterine distress(OR=1.85,95%CI=[1.46,2.34],P<0.00001),low birth weight(OR=3.70,95%CI=[2.92,4.68],P<0.00001),fetal malformation(OR=2.69,95%CI=[1.54,4.73],P<0.0006),with statistically si gnificant differences in all eight of these areas of comparison.Conclusion:1.Hypothyroidism in pregnancy leads to an increased incidence of hypertensive disorders of pregnancy in pregnant women.2.Hypothyroidism in pregnancy increases the incidence of adverse pregnancy outcomes such as gestational diabetes, postpartum haemorrhage, miscarriage, preterm labour, intrauterine distress, fetal malformations and low birth weight babies.
