Clinical Study Of Modified Chaihu Decoction Combined With TACE In The Treatment Of Primary Liver Cancer

Objective:Compared with TACE alone,to observe the short-term efficacy of modified Chaihu decoction combined with TACE in the treatment of patients with advanced primary liver cancer..Methods:60 patients with primary liver cancer who met the inclusion criteria were randomly divided into traditional Chinese and western medicine group(n=30)and control group(n=30).The control group was treated with TACE,while the traditional Chinese and western medicine group was treated with modified Chaihu decoction for 6 weeks.The changes of ALT,AST,TBIL,ALB,VEGF,AFP,DCP,curative effect of solid tumor,TCM syndrome score,post-embolization syndrome and quality of life score were observed and recorded after treatment.The data were statistically analyzed by SPSS26.0 software,and the results of all records of the two groups were compared and analyzed.Results:(1)Evaluation of the curative effect of solid tumor:the objective remission rate of the traditional Chinese and western medicine group was 30%,and the total control rate was 86.67%;the objective remission rate of the control group was 23.33%,and the total control rate was 76.67%.There was no significant difference between the two groups(P>0.05).(2)The change of body temperature after embolization:there was no significant difference in body temperature between the two groups 1 day after operation.On the second and third day after operation,the body temperature data of the two groups were significantly lower than those of the first day after operation(P<0.05),and that of the traditional Chinese and western medicine group was significantly lower than that of the control group(P<0.05).(3)The curative effect of VEGF:the level of VEGF in the control group decreased at first and then increased(P<0.05).,and the level of plasma VEGF in the traditional Chinese and western medicine group decreased continuously(P<0.05).,and it was significantly better than that in the control group at 6 weeks after operation(P<0.05)..(4)The curative effect of liver function(ALT,AST,TBL,ALB):ALT,AST and TBIL in the traditional Chinese and western medicine group and the control group increased at first and then decreased.At 1 week,the liver function in the control group was significantly higher than that in the traditional Chinese and western medicine group.ALB in the two groups decreased at first and then increased.There was no significant difference in the level of decrease between the two groups at 1 week,but it was significantly higher in the traditional Chinese and western medicine group than in the control group at 2 weeks(P<0.05).(5)The curative effect of AFP and DCP:after 6 weeks of treatment,the values of AFP and DCP in the traditional Chinese and western medicine group were lower than those before operation,and the values in the traditional Chinese and western medicine group were significantly lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).(6)KPS score:the KPS score of the two groups was higher than that before operation,and the traditional Chinese and western medicine group was better than the control group(P<0.05).(7)Improvement of TCM syndrome scores:both groups have curative effects in improving TCM syndrome scores.The total effective rate of the traditional Chinese and western medicine group is 93.33%,while that of the control group is 50%.The traditional Chinese and western medicine group is significantly better than the control group(P<0.05).(8)Safety evaluation:no serious adverse reactions occurred during the treatment in both groups.Conclusion(s):1、Adding and reducing Chaihu decoction combined with TACE can reduce the level of vascular endothelial growth factor in plasma,significantly reduce the levels of serum AFP and DCP,stabilize the diameter of tumor,and effectively delay tumor progression.2、Adding and reducing Chaihu decoction can effectively improve abdominal pain,abdominal distension,nausea and vomiting,emotional depression,nausea and vomiting,mental fatigue and fecal diarrhea in liver cancer patients with liver depression and spleen deficiency after TACE.It can effectively reduce fever after TACE,protect liver function,improve KPS score,and improve the quality of life of patients.
